What are you watching?

Just started a new (relatively speaking) show for me...Falling Skies. Just finished Season 1, Episode 1 and liked it. I'll keep watching now.

A couple of movies, both first viewings.

First, the astounding Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in 'Birds of Prey. This has been on my Prime watchlist for a while, but I figured I had seen it, but I hadn't. Great movie! Once you're talking Harley, throw out all considerations of logic and logistics and enjoy the gleeful mayhem. Robbie continues to amaze with her unerring abilities.

Next up was real surprise: The Spy Who Dumped Me, starring the ever-delectable Mila Kunis and ex-SNL's Kate McKinnon, who skated the edge between funny and annoying. Great, well done action, and a truly funny female buddy action comedy (which is hard to pull off). I may even watch this again at some point. Extremely enjoyable.

I enjoy both and can watch the Spy Who Dumped Me over and over. Its an actual LOL film.

That second flick has some really good comedy and action sequences, but that scene towards the beginning with waiter? Like, that whole scene was a crazy red herring and created some unanswered questions for me.

But I would have loved a trilogy from those 2

Today, three movies:

First, The Crew, about 4 old former wise guys, Richard Dreyfuss, Burt Reynolds, Seymour Cassel and Dan Hedaya, retired in boredom in Florida who start up some action to relive their youth. Along the way is Jennifer Tilly, at the smokin' hottest era of her career. Funny and fun.

Next, was Francesca Eastwood (Clint's daughter) giving an awesome performance in M.F.A., which either stands for Master of Fine Arts or Murderous Female Avenger - both apply. It's Eastwood who sets this apart from other female revenge flicks. Gripping and excellent.

Next, revisiting the 1975 Sam Peckinpah flick The Killer Elite staring James Caan and Robert Duvall. Great script, with a big chunk at the beginning of the second act about Caan's healing/therapy battle (come ON! start shooting people again!). Love the Mothball Fleet bit at the end, where I guess modern Ninja training means leaping out with swords to get mowed down by machine guns. Still, a great movie.
