At least for the pornstars, there's STD testing, though. I think the example it sets for the real world where most people will never get tested is the real concern. Of course, I'm not sure what you do about it, either. Sales figures have consistantly shown that condom use hurts porn sales.
Well, technically, the only STD that tends to kill people is syphillus and only if you're dumb enough to let it go untreated for years. HIV is transmissable, even days later, from many body fluids, so it's not really an STD.
Now, as for porn without condoms, I'm not saying its a bad idea. You can't really justify paying as big of checks out to pornstars for porn with condoms if the sales figures are likely to be lower, though. It's also no different than any other time you get paid for taking risks. The military even pays extra for combat pay and hazardous duty. Of course, as much porn as there is and the fact that it seems to be a once in 5 years thing, it still sounds far safer and better paid than police work, fire fighting, mining, hunting, hauling flamable/hazardous loads, and probably just about any other risky job out there. On top of that, to pornstars tend to be encouraged to fuck any of their hot coworkers they want. Sure, I'd like to see condoms in porn, but it still doesn't sound like a terrible deal.
