What does Love-based bdsm look like?

I'm surprised the poetry is still here and hasn't been banished to the poetry board yet. :D
Ah, but as you should know damn well being so smart about people and all-- someone who isn't considered an asshole by the community gets a lot more leeway from its members than someone who is considered an asshole.

I do hope you aren't about to go into your Paul Lynde imitation again. :)

"Kids! I don't know what's wrong with these kids today!"

"Kids! Who can understand anything they say?!"

(How did you know I'd played Mr. MacAfee off Broadway in "Bye Bye Birdie"--the Paul Lynde role? :D)

P.S. Sure, what's the harm in a smidgen of double standard? (Everyone is someone's asshole--including you, dear lady.)

No shit? What a coincidence!

Something about your written voice... brings his irresistibly to mind. I swear I always 'hear' you with that same nasal, prissy, tone. Or maybe Tony Randall as Felix Unger.

Ah, whatever gives you solace--and helps feed your prejudices. :D

Of course the goal of actors playing a reprise of musicals isn't really to mimic those who were famous in the Broadway/Movie versions. That's considered cheesy.

You do always want to categorize people and put them in their place, I've noticed.

But now that you mention it, your avatars and posts do sort of put Kathy Bates in my mind for you.

haha, touche! :D

I wish you would hang out here a bit- this forum is not much homophobic, but is awfully hetero-centric...

Can't. I very much like BD, but SM has never appealed. So, I'll just let these folks do their thing--up until they dump something somewhere that I do play.

Is the origin of ritualized submission and domination during sex play due to gay men playing fetishistic roles of man and woman? If so, at some point heteros began their sex play in imitation of the gay men, in imitation of men playing man and woman. Are there artefacts of masculinity in the woman/sub role? When a female plays Dom, she's automatically masculinized without question, and I'm not interested in how a man is feminized; but whether or not there is something that's stayed within Submission from the originators of the contemporary frame. A behaviour or attitude a female Sub will commonly show that's strangely masculine.

We don't need anymore bad poetry on the poetry board. Especially BDSM poetry, as BDSM is a fetish and descriptions of fetishized sex have never equated to 'good poetry'. Shout out to WriterDom and Homburguesa!

It is kind of on topic. Everyone's trying to get BLoved to accept he's just talking about vanilla relationships. He's not talking about sex practices because it's less elegant talking about the nuts and bolts of the practices themselves, too clinical. His poetry is probably terrible, but he'd have a better chance at an appealing poem without actually giving BDSM descriptors, same as he has a more appealing argument without having to apply his vanilla theories to actual examples of how they'd apply in a archetypical BDSM context. That's why he only points to his boring ass stories that have very little BDSM context. BDSM is just a set of sex practices, not good for romanticism, good for wanking material in a story.

Thank you for the admission that there is a double standard when it comes to 'Free Speech'.

To enjoy 'Free Speech' we must agree with the majority, because the majority censors anyone who disagrees with them.

seriously, is nobody ever going to ban this whiny fucking cunt!?

Moving/merging threads is not censorship.

I have seen no rule regarding the posting of a story as a link versus text.

However, considering the comments from Story Feedback, I am pleased with the results nonetheless.

Regardless of what you or anyone else believes, posting stories outside story forums counts as a rule violation. As I have already explained earlier in this thread, continuing to do so will result in one more warning, and then a suspension.

If the OP wants to remove the story from the post (perhaps replacing it with a link to its location on the story side, or referring to the link in his signature), he can certainly request that it be moved back to the BDSM section.

Where is the rule that says I can only link to a story?

Sweetheart, have you seen what people say in GB? Bloded is small beans compared to the racists, misogynists, rightwing nutbars, fascists that hold sway there. If Bluved doesn't amuse you, seriously-- ignore him. Laurel does not care that there is a community here. She believes that free speech includes the oinking of pigs if pigs wish to oink.

Trust me on this.

I'm stiill waiting to see a rule that says I can only link to stories.

Etoile says moving the story because it was in text and not a link is not censorship.

Since I can't find a rule for BDSM Talk that says one can only refer to a story by link, I'm thinking that the invention of a 'rule' to create an excuse to move my thread and threaten me with banishment for breaking 'rule' might be considered a form of censorship.

Etoile, show us the rule that says I can only link to stories, that I cannot reproduce them as text?

Show us this rule wasn't just invented for me, as an excuse to move my discussion.

I actually have no desire for him to be banned. If he violates the rules, he will be banned, but I don't care one way or the other about it. I am neither for nor against it.

Where is the rule that says I can only link to a story?
I will not play this game with you. You have been told what situation will result in a warning and then a suspension. If you bring yourself into that situation, that is your decision.

You, like anyone here, have the power to contact Laurel if you disagree with any moderator's actions. You know how to contact her. This discussion ends here.

The only reason this is a "game" is because you will not cite the 'rule' you claim I broke.

I take it by your refusal that I am right, and this was an invention to provide an excuse to move this discussion out of BDSM Talk.

Thank you for the implicit confirmation.

How does it work threatening me with suspension/banishment for a non-existent 'rule'?

Why should I disturb Laurel about this?

You've as much as confirmed that yes, I am being officially harassed by you through the invention of 'rules' which you cannot cite, but which I am supposed to know or be suspended/banished.

This is no secret over at Story Feedback where it was discussed at length further back in this thread.
