What happened to the xxxjessica thread?

what the fuck happened to this thread? it degraded from being somewhat witty and amusing to posting retarded pics and everyone having obnoxiously large sig pics.

shame on all of you
Adding not a damn thing on-topic. Really, girls, start your own "Junior High Bitch Clique" thread.

It is good that everyone has stopped bumping this thread

Kitty! Lookin' good! (and way better without the huge sig. I mean, seriously, you were giving me sig envy...and that doesn't jive with Dr Freud/Fraud.)

Such a shame.. This thread needs more bumps.

Tek!!!!!!!! Good morning handsome, fellow! I've missed you sooooooooooo!

;)
I was getting WAY too many PMs about how long longcat was. I put him to sleep for now at least.

And hello to you too corbal!

By the way Auto, nice job getting your signature and "signaturestop.com."

AD, what experience do you have with modeling and rendering software?

Kitty I have to agree w/ Tek ;)

Tek you're so rotten lol (=Hugs=)

Did you want a pat on the back? :)
Have you made any models, animated anything etc?

not at all, an intelligent response would be nice. i should have known better. and yes, i have worked extensively with stl files for the 3d modeling process. as far as fly by's and such, not so much. although i do have a few friends that are the shit at that stuff.

Standard template libraries? I just googled the term- I've never encountered it before. So you've mostly been exposed to the business side- the physical rendering part etc.?
Mind you, I use max as a hobby...with the stated goal of someday making a short film (where something will blow up). My models are simplistic because I try to minimize the poly-count to cut down on rendering times, etc.

However- I get stuck on the details- and there are parts (like texturing) that I don't have a grasp of at all.

And then there's a valid idea- then a "script", then animating the models....etc...

no, not that type of stl, this type.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STL_(file_format)

as far as renderings go, unless you have a box with all the ram it can take, a fast processor and a smoking fast graphics card there really isn't a point (nice pun) to try with too many polys.

I was wondering about the C++ thing- that'd be hardcore modelling....

Yeah, I have a laptop-it's the most powerful machine I've had to date, but that's not saying much. So, I'm definitely going for low poly...(ish)...my models are in the 1000-2000 poly range (especially the planes/tanks (damn all those wheels!))

P.S. right now, Max is as close as I'm gonna get to having my own Mitsu Evo or Nissan GTR34.....and they're hybrids :D

i shall now take back my diss of you regarding your rendering skills, you don't stand a shot with an outdated laptop.

Pardon my interruption of nerd talk........but when Tek gets all brainy, I melt....

You mean I can't recreate the latest star wars trilogy on my laptop? damn it! :D

That's OK, SW is shit anyway.
