In this day and age, with voicemail, texting, BBM, email, etc... who ever stops giving / receiving oral sex or knocking' boots to pick up a phone should be kicked in the nutsack / vah-gine, shown the door, and have their clothes tossed out to them. If done right, the caller can listen in on these unfolding events. You can then text Mr. / Mrs. Gotta-Answer-This as they are dressing outside, and ask them to delete your number from their phone.

Of course if you are married to the phone answerer, you may have to exercise a wee bit of diplomacy. Maybe let them get dressed first.
