Glad to foment. I hiked for four hours and didn't see another human, although I saw numerous lizards. Definitely hike before the travel ban is extended to mushroom worshippers!

Mountains are always very exotic to me, incredibly beautiful. I'd really love to hike somewhere with mountains. Although to be able to do that I'd probably have to exercise for a year beforehand.

Thanks, Meek. I have lived in widely variant places; none was flat, and many were in mountains or foothills. Of course, I've driven through, visited and camped in many lovely flat places. (I liked not having to search for places to pitch my tent...)

You should totally do it, Seela; look at how excited you are! There are always valley hikes, and mountains come in all sizes. I have a friend who just climbed (not hiked) Mt. Hood near Portland, and he did train for six months. But that's a mountain where people sometimes die - I just got a little thirsty and got a rock in my boot and suffered the torture of no cell service for a couple of days.

It was the first time I ever used Korean in public. I was understood, but sadly I didn't understand what the waitress said to me after I had placed my order, so major fail on that part.

I got a lot of encouragement to continue with it and the waitress was genuinely surprised. Fun.
