What made you smile or laugh today? Part III

Finding out I did so much better than I ever in my wildest dreams thought I could with so little prep.

How are the kitties?

Her Royal Highness is going through some sort of stroppy teenager phase where she likes to bite a lot. Sometimes she'll bite even while she's purring. I'm not sure if she wants more playtime than she's getting (I'm normally at home most days, but I've been out this week) or if she's trying to renegotiate her position in the social hierarchy.

But she still comes and cuddles me in the mornings, and often in the evenings, and sits on me for hours. That bit's lovely as always :)

Haven't heard much from her mother and sisters lately, but we did get a cute photo of Middle Sister a few weeks back, helping her humans play D&D.

Biting is a display of affection!

Sometimes. But I'd like her to find more pleasant ways to express her love :)

Anyway, tonight we played lots of fetch and then she sat on my chest and purred, and now I'm typing around a sleepy chest-kitty. I think she may have been feeling a bit bored, with me out during the day all week.

I'm going away for a few days next week, so she'll have to get by without me again, poor little fluffball.

Oh, and her middle sister's people sent us a photo of Middle Sister getting petted :)

Stopped by mr. cookies room this morning to find him crooning loudly to Freddie Fender songs.

Playing Speak Out and What Did You Say with my family. It was so much fun! I laughed until my stomach hurt, and I may have peed a little. (Just a little).

Played with fireworks today! 🎆 Now I'm just listening to the orchestra of fun time explosives. :D Happy Fourth!

I went to John Clarke's memorial service last night. So many great speakers (Geoffrey Rush, Sam Neill, David Wenham just for starters) and so many lovely/funny stories and readings.

So now I'm re-watching "The Front Fell Off":

Wow - that must have been amazing. I adore Sam Neill ... I saw him pottering about his vineyards on TV once, just chatting and stuff. Long back story, but at the time I remember sitting there thinking 'why couldn't HE be my father?'.

Waking up and remembering that yesterday I really DID get the sort-of-promotion I've been wanting for a while.

To be the owner of mind numbing misery, that has been changed, as I own the keys to my own happiness......is like the grande finale at the fireworks show. Unbelievable.
