What made you smile or laugh today? Part III

Wow - that must have been amazing. I adore Sam Neill ... I saw him pottering about his vineyards on TV once, just chatting and stuff. Long back story, but at the time I remember sitting there thinking 'why couldn't HE be my father?'.

Sam was excellent. He poked a lot of fun at Australia but that's pretty much obligatory. I was really impressed by Ginette McDonald, too; I'd never heard of her before, but she was really warm and funny and told a lovely story about how John got together with his wife.

Looks like they're going to release some podcasts of the memorial - details at http://mrjohnclarke.com/news .

:rose:

There was a thread on gb about how bdsmers have no sense of humour 😏

Smile; friends beautiful new baby was so delicious it was hard not to nibble her.

Laugh: giggling with someone I love this morning. The ridiculous truths of life and the silliness and just relaxing.

I miss cookie.
I talk to her all the time. I miss her here.

Experimental cookie baking. I've been making low sugar oatmeal cookies and each time they get better and better.

Usually I just use less sugar. :D Today I added blackstrap molasses to the mix. They're like less sweet quick bread bites. I really like them.

Do you add raisins?

I cut sugar all the time. I can usually cut at least 1/2 cup to start, but then I go for more. Usually no one notices.

My cat finally caved and sat on my lap. He was miffed I was away so long.

I smiled when my dentist said you are free to go after 3 hours in the chair.....yes!!

I like dried cranberries but I'm not a fan of raisens. I like to add nuts (whatever I have walnut or pecan) and sometimes chocolate chips. All three or a variation. Today was only walnuts.

I only make a dozen at a time so I use two tablespoons brown sugar and two tablespoons granulated sugar. Today I didn't have brown sugar so I used white and added the blackstrap molasses. The cookies are barely sweet, but it scratches the itch. :)

I bought train tickets, made a restaurant reservation, and now I'm starting to get really excited about the upcoming trip, even though it's still a month away!

And the weekend is going to be lots of fun too. Visiting my best friend and checking out some new places in the area. :)

I like golden sultanas and green raisins considerably more than the dark sort of either. I also enjoy the way they can take on flavour. Soaking raisins or sultanas in ginger syrup for example, can add something.

............

Oh, that's a good idea! I love the prunes it's orange essence. And ginger is such a yummy flavor. Oh, now I'm think of a yummy ginger oatmeal cookie! Thanks. :)

I use my interior design knowledge to plan spaces in my home and I recently updated our outside space to accommodate new furniture. Mister has been so impressed with my skills that he asked me to come and help plan his office space. We're having lunch today so I can see the space and get measurements. :)

I've been interstate for a couple of days, visiting colleagues. I was walking through a cubicle farm and somebody said "Excuse me, but do you own a very beautiful cat?"

Seems she'd noticed Ms. SmallCat in a video conference call a couple of weeks ago. Obviously I know my cat is a beauty but it's always good to have independent validation :)

She welcomed me back with purring and cuddles, and now she's sleeping against my chest. Such a sweetie.

Also, bracing myself for an argument about how to handle a major work project, and then finding out that we all agreed and there was nobody to argue with.

Cat pride. I love it.
