What made you smile or laugh today? Part IV

Today a woman in the grocery checkout line while facing me, bent over her cart longer than necessary knowing I was looking.
Then met my eye on the way up. She blushed when I said I really like your rings.

I went to a BBQ place just down the road from my house because they've been advertising $3 BBQ pork sandwiches. I've been there a few times before, but I never paid much attention to the menu.

Anyway, I was sitting in the drive-thru with the intention of ordering one of the sandwiches and an order of fries. But I saw on the menu board that not only did they have fried squash, but also that an order of it was cheaper than an order of fries.

So guess which redneck ass motherfucker is sitting here eating a BBQ sandwich and fried squash for dinner? :ROFLMAO:

Called my brother and thought he sounded a bit confused at first.
Had a quick question in the middle of some stuff I was doing, so we just cleared that and hung up.
Then I got a text from him, saying that if he sounded a bit standoffish at first when I called, it was because I had Caller ID off.
I’d forgotten to turning it back on after doing a quick work call on my private phone.
Then he texted me a link to this article:

Vintage shopping happiness!
I found 3 skirts and 2 pairs of pants.
The Holzweiler skirt and the Gant skirt would each have cost abot 3 times what I paid for all of them.
The skirts still had tags on and the pants look like new.
*cartwheels*

I went back to playing Hollow Knight yesterday and somehow, after a little warm up, I was really good at it now after taking a break for over a month.

My completion is now 107% (out of 112% max). In September I finished at 102% and thought it was the highest I could ever realistically go with my general lack of gaming skills. 🥳

Still no Path of Pain, though. I’m not enough of a masochist to do that. Mostly because I can’t pogo to save my life in that game.

A friend of mine from where I used to work tells me little, often odd things that her husband does most days when they both work from home.

Over the weekend I created a bingo grid with some of the more common little things he does. I thought I’d play it all week and cross off based on what she tells me he’s doing. I really thought it’d take me all week to get a bingo, but I already got the first one today!

(Wears socks with glitter, sings a completely made up song, eats cabbage, makes up funny names in a work meeting when they need an example person, promises to be a little more quiet)

When we still worked in the same place, we used to take a coffee break at least few times a week to have a call. And while on the call, her husband would do charades which she would then describe to me and I had to guess. And I got pretty good at it, too! You never knew what he’d pick as a word. It could be obscure Norwegian metal bands (almost never got them) or it could be things like climate change (totally got it).

Sigh, I miss it. It was so funny.

The socks and the cabbage aren’t the odd things she tells me about. The odd ones are things like making up songs about a superhero he has invented, suddenly only walking backwards for no obvious reason etc. 😂

Cabbage and glitter socks are business as usual.
