Mine have also passed.Aw, so sweet! My grandparents all died when I was young, alas. Please enjoy them while they are still here.
My children and their cousins are lucky enough to have many grandparents through remarriages and extended family. They give their time in ways that make my children feel special and seen. Magical kind of love 
(fueled by the ability to to give copious amounts of sugar).
Got to visit with a dear friend this morning at shift change. He told me that he's leaving for a new job...way less money, but a huge reduction in politics and stress and corporate bullshit. He's only 40 with kids at home and he expressed concern to his wife about the cut in pay. She responded with, "Don't worry, we'll be fine... this will be good for us all."

When you make decisions for the right reasons and to make yourself and others happy, regardless of any perceived difficulty that decision might bring, things have a way of working out in the long run.I did the same thing, no kids though and I talked to the person in the mirror. So far so good after 8 months.
