Do hugs need a safeword? The reality that so much in life doesn't have a safe word.
If not, here's a big warm one.

Today I have to pay for a replacement dryer and get a replacement DSL. Shit is just breaking down around here!
I hope a professional without a bias is telling you that, or you yourself know for sure, because depending on what's not working, simple fixes can cause both to stop working. And in the dryer's case, many repairs are cheaper than a new one. With a DSL router, if it is truly broken, it's rare to be able to fix it. But, if you know what you're doing, just ignore me. I can be a pest in situations like this.
In lieu of paying me for internet hosting, a dear friend prevailed upon a sister-in-law to gift me with my very own dedicated virtual server. Which, gosh. Amazing! Free speech hosting at a very affordable price-- gift.
However, I thought somehow that SHE knew how to run and manage and admin said virtual servers-- not so much. The best she can do is restore from up a day or so back-- and as it turns out, that's not always a cure for whatever I've done.
So there's a few teeth to this gift horse. Fuck if I know what the solution is. I hate to go back to commercial hosting, but I REALLY need to know more about how not to fuck up my clients and guest's public interface. Webmin is NOT Cpanel.
(Debian Squeeze Linux, Apache, Webmin 1.5 and anyone who wants to mentor me is OMG gratefully listened to)
i am so pissed off at myself for forgetting one of my rules today and let someone borrow one of my cars.
I leant a friend [???] one of my cars because they needed a car with a tow bar. I thought it was weird that they dropped it off, gave me the keys and ran. I went out to move the car and yup there huge scrapes and dents down one side.
I called them to ask what happened and why they didn't tell me and they said they were already there.
So not in the mood to sort this out after 2 hours of sleep but I am not a happy kiwi because I am going to have to try to get them to admit it and get it fixed (not holding out much hope) or fix it myself because some of the scrapes are so deep they will not polish out.
