They will say the same thing they say now. Mostly they are driven by ratings so they never were very good at being news organizations but they were fair politically. Except Fox which was a laughable mess and clearly the hand of the GOP that was fondling it's testicles the whole time.

I agree about Elon's role in this. But Trump made the term "fake news" a household word. I knew it was fake but it was nice having Elon provide documented proof.

Trump has never in his life pointed to any real instance of fake news. It always turned out he was the liar.
What people need to understand- is that the role of the news media in a free and democratic society is NOT to be a propaganda piece for the government or it's leaders!
And yet, I hear "useful idiots" over and over and over and over again, call news media "Biased" or "owned by the democratic pary" (sic) if they fail to do exactly this- in other words, if they fail to be a propaganda piece for the government and it's leaders! Expose the wrongdoings of Trump or his failed leadership? Oh, it must be because "They're owned by the democratic pary!"
NO!!!
They expose the failings and wrongdoings of Trump's leadership BECAUSE HE DID WRONG SHIT, AND FAILED AS A LEADER!
This is what the news media is SUPPOSED TO DO in a free and democratic society.
It is beyond frustrating how people simply fail to understand this.

The entire Russia Gate narrative was proven to be fake news. The Ukraine phone call charge was fake news, The Pee Tape story perpetrated by the Clinton campaign was fake news. I could go on and on.

Money and influence trails are easy to follow. So are the framings of debate questions and, later on the leaking of those questions to one side. On top of that INSIDERS FROM THEIR NEWS ROOMS HAVE STARTED SPEAKING OUT. OPENLY, WITH FOOTNOTES! Do some damn research, sheeple.
The Russia Gate narrative was proven to be TRUE. However, if you want to talk about fake news, how long did it take Fox News (and other more blatantly pro-Trump propaganda sources masquerading as news) to admit that he lost the 2020 election fairly and that it was NOT stolen? Some of these sources STILL have yet do to so.
This is what I see over and over again from the intellectually challenged:
1) A news source provides information that is verified to be true.
2) This information presents a political figure, whether democrat or republican in a less than positive light, and the information challenges the viewers assumptions.
3) The viewer, instead of thinking critically, jumps to the conclusion that "The media is biased" or "it's fake news!" instead of thinking, "You know, maybe I was wrong, maybe Biden, or Trump, or whoever, really ISN'T perfect and he DOES do shady and illegal stuff."
I see this over and over again. It is frustrating, because it is intellectual dishonesty, in fact it is ANTI-intellectual.

Yeah. It was Trump who led a crappy, crashing economy and criminal enterprise using the White Hou... Wait. Thst was BIDEN! For a second I thought I had my years wrong. Your bad.
Side note, the day after Trump was elected, gas prices dropped. Drastically (at least in most of the country). Both times. And they went up after Biden was elected... But that's probably just coincidence.

I believe the pee tape story -- not that Trump has that fetish, we would have heard about that from Stormy Daniels. But that he was willing to pay Russian prostitutes to defile a bed Obama had slept in. He is that petty and vindictive.

Trump inherited a thriving economy from Obama and left the country with crappy, crashing economy. That is how it went in the real world.
Even you know by now that the Russia hoax was no hoax. The Ukraine call was recorded, it really did happen, and it was an impeachable crime. The pee tape story is unsubstantiated but entirely plausible.
And don't forget that Biden spent the first two or three years of his presidency trying to undo the mess that Trump caused to the economy. It was already in an inflationary spiral when Trump left office, and as for the next couple years- I fail to see how erecting huge tarriff barriers on imports are going to do anything BUT drive up prices, on pretty much everything.

In the real world, the economy started to come back immediately AFTER Trump was elected. Because the markets were taking a HUGE sigh of relief anticipating the end of the Obama regulatory state. Again, no coincidence. Small businesses were struggling and dying under Obama taxes and regulations. Trump had promised to roll those back, which he did.
