What we know of other people
Is only our memory of the moments
During which we knew them. And they have changed since then.

-T.S. Elliot

The awful daring of a moment's surrender
Which an age of prudence can never retract
By this, and this only, we have existed

"THIS is thy hour O Soul, thy free flight into the wordless,
Away from books, away from art, the day erased, the lesson done,
Thee fully forth emerging, silent, gazing, pondering the themes thou lovest best.
Night, sleep, and the stars."
— Walt Whitman, A Clear Midnight

We can only surrender when we know our heart, and when we know our self. And that knowledge is what we share with another. And it is not something to be shared at random. To surrender at the deepest depth, should be with one who truly has the power to touch your heart, mind, body and soul. That is when "surrender" takes on its purest and most beautiful meaning.

I like that! And it's relevant at this space and time I find myself in.

If I ever stand before God, I'm sure to ask, "The fuck you've been doing this whole time?!" Kidding, kidding, kinda.
