What's your personality type?

Evil.

INFJ – You are eternally damned to working for a morally corrupt company that aims to exploit the weak and generally degrade conditions for all of society.

This feels a little too much like my day to day dealings at the moment, to be as amused as I'd like to be... Does that mean I actually get to tell people I work for Hell, now?

Also an INFJ, and while I agree that^ does sound hellish, I seem to be living INTJ's version lately. :(

INTJ – Every time you open your mouth to say something intelligent, something entirely idiotic comes out instead.

ENTP

The Visionary

You are charming, outgoing, friendly. You make a good first impression.
You possess good negotiating skills and can convince anyone of anything.
Happy to be the center of attention, you love to tell stories and show off.
You're very clever, but you are not disciplined enough to do well in structured environments.

In love, you see everything as a grand adventure. You enjoy taking risks for love.
And if things don't work out, you're usually not too much worse for the wear!

You would make a great entrepreneur, marketing executive, or actor.

At work, you need a lot of freedom to pursue your own path and vision.
How you see yourself: Analytical, creative, and peaceful

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Detached, wishy-washy, and superficial

I love that part... Being underestimated is so politically useful... :D

I've been intrigued by the recent news that researchers have discovered the existence of "ambivert" personalities. Finally, there's a rallying point for those of us who want to answer "sometimes" to so many of those questions!

The Protector

You live your life with integrity, originality, vision, and creativity.
Independent and stubborn, you rarely stray from your vision - no matter what it is.
You are an excellent listener with almost infinite patience.
You have complex feelings, and you take great care to express them.

In love, you see relationships as an opportunity to connect and grow.
You enjoy relationships when they are improving and changing. You can't stand stagnation.

At work, you stay motivated and happy... as long as you are working toward a dream you support.
You would make a great photographer, alternative medicine guru, or teacher.

How you see yourself: Hardworking, ethical, and helpful

I've always been an ESFJ before, but this one gave me a different result.

The Inspirer

You love being around people, and you are deeply committed to your friends.
You are also unconventional, irreverent, and unimpressed by authority.
Incredibly perceptive, you can usually sense if someone has hidden motives.
You use lots of colorful language and expressions. You're quite the storyteller!

In love, you are quite the charmer. And you are definitely willing to risk your heart.
You often don't follow through with your flirting or professed feelings. You break a lot of hearts.

At work, you are driven but not a workaholic. You just always seem to enjoy what you do.
You would make an excellent entrepreneur, politician, or journalist.

How you see yourself: compassionate, unselfish, and understanding

When other people don't get you, they see you as: gushy, emotional, and unfocused

INTJ (What I get on pretty much all these tests.)

The Scientist

You have a head for ideas - and you are good at improving systems.
Logical and strategic, you prefer for everything in your life to be organized.
You tend to be a bit skeptical. You're both critical of yourself and of others.
Independent and stubborn, you tend to only befriend those who are a lot like you.

In love, you are always striving to improve your relationship.
You have strong ideas of what love should be like.

At work, you excel in figuring out difficult tasks. People think of you as "the brain."
You would make an excellent scientist, engineer, or programmer.

How you see yourself: Reasonable, knowledgeable, and competent

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Aloof, controlling, and insensitive

It's funny that there are so many INTJ's here, yet they supposedly make up the smallest portion of the community, as a whole (<--that was not an Italian accented cuss).

I'm by any means not an expert, but I think if this is true, then the fault shouldn't be aimed at the Jung's personality categories but at the tests themselves.
My understanding of Jung perception of the psyche is that he wanted to put a "liquid" concept to labels and categories because people aren't static fixed things. We grow, and learn, and thereby change.

I don't think that a person can change their personality type, but they can learn to be less introverted, more sensing, or whatever have you.

But it might be because lots of E types, for example, are less inclined to be on forums so much or find them such a valuable outlet where as for some intjs they might be a more important social outlet where more 'freedom' and space is welcomed?

( I haven't done one of these for ages and get different answers when I do it depending on my situation at the time. A key thing about this test is it does not allow for impact of other force or pressure that can screw or impact on how your very personality is.....for example, health issues.

Well, generally, extroversion (E) gains energy from socializing, the Introversion (I) loses energy from socializing. So an introvert generally would stay away from social mediums, though the INTJ is supposedly insatiably curious, now what they might do is put themselves in the lion's mouth, so to speak, to learn what they can of how a system works, look for where it needs improvements and then leave, because there is nothing more to be learned, unless they desire to reshape and make changes to suit their view on how something can function best.

The INTJ usually stays to the back of the crowd until they see they can make a significant impact and then step in. They prefer to not lead, but any system lacking direction and clarity, they will step up to the plate.

What I notice is lacking in the descriptions of the INTJ tests posted here has been the lack of pointing out the J (judgement) part of the INTJ. From what I understand, the INTJ has the ability to make leaps in logic. It is not by any means an emotional judgement, but they use previous cataloged information that they collect, and by having this resource, thereby look for paths that others wouldn't normally look for.

...and yes, I am an INTJ if you haven't already guessed.

Again, INTJ's are supposedly the rarest personality type. There are supposedly only 2-4% of the community; the world population (edit: granted, that could still be a lot of people... that's 146,980,000 to 293,960,000 INTJ's meh. I guess it's possible).

So, either what you are saying is true, or perhaps people are incorrectly being categorized as INTJ's because of poor test questions.
