Why do women like shoes?

If I knew why women liked shoes so much perhaps I wouldn't own so many...instead of needing new furniture to make room for all of them

There's a limit...

I know a woman who BOASTS of having over 500 pairs of shoes. That's just way past the point of reason. Why why WHY? How many pairs of gold shoes does one little retired Florida lady NEED? I've got 2 pair of New Balance (the elder always gets to go on the beach run), dressy sandals, casual flats, high heeled boots and flip flops. Done. Finished. I don't want to open my closet and have to choose among hundreds.

Come to think of it, I don't want to wear shoes at all.

I hate shoes. Runners (sneakers or trainers or whatever you strange people call them) all the way. But I only ever have one pair. I wear them till they wear out and then get a new pair. I hate switching pairs, it feels wierd. And I always wear slippers inside. Even a pair in my boyfriends house. My Mum always wants me to buy more runners and keeps dragging me into shops. She's obsessed!
