I've always hated phone calls since I was a child - my parents making me phone around family and friends to thank them for gifts was always super awkward. Something about a disembodied voice demanding your immediate attention always sets my anxiety on edge, so phone sex is a definite nope, even with a close partner.

Oddly, I don't get the same anxiety from video calls. Being able to see a face seems to make all the difference.

My husband and I tried it a few times when one of us was traveling for work - talk about awkward. He said he loved my voice, I said I loved his voice, but it never worked out. We would burst into laughter.
