Why women?

For that matter do women in general like the idea of 2 guys at it or not?
If lesbian sex is such a turn on for the guys the is gay sex a turn on for women?
My answer to this is Oh Yeah Baby....two men getting it on. Very. Very Hawt.

But then again, I'm bi. My sister is straight and she doesn't find gay sex a turn on at all.

Well, I'm not sure, and I'm not sure she's sure. She's seen some softcore gay scenes that she said turned her on because hey she got to see dick. On the other hand she's never seen hardcore gay prnography, so I'm not sure it would do anything for her. Her reaction wasn't all that excited when I asked.

my suspicion is that this phenomenon is rooted in two aspects of male sexuality. first off, we can fully understand how someone would be attracted to a woman because that's how most of us are wired to respond. second, we are visual creatures for the most part and watching two women together would be very fulfilling to our need for visual stimulation.

i'll take it a step farther and say there's also the fact that their aren't any dicks in the picture. it's pure female sensuality and hey, that's what turns me on.
oddly enough, there's a belief in some lit crit that states precisely what kahuna is saying.

and i happen to agree.

a friend of mine (a bi woman) told me once that she really loves watching gay (male) porn. she's the only woman i know of who feels that way.

I just think two women together look extremely sensual. Everything is soft and flowing properly. I am definately more into guys in real life but I think girl on girl is sexier in porn. Now you got me wondering why...

Nae

I am a straight women and I love watching two women together. The reason I think it turns me on is I can sense/understand what they are feeling. I know how a women orgasm feels. I know what it is like to touch a woman’s breast or stroke her thigh as I have touched my own. I can relate to what is taking place on the screen.

I know what you mean. And if it's done right, that's also why it 'works' for me. Most of the time though, even with two women, I'm going "sjeez"

Let me throw in another possibility here.

One big reason why men find lesbian sex arousing can be summed up in the phrase "I agree with both of them." Let me illustrate. (This, by the way, is not my own observation, but I discovered it online and it made sense to me.)

Take, for example, your average FM sex scene. As hot as it may be, there's only one party that the straight male viewer sympathizes with --the man. The man in the scene obviously finds the woman to be very hot. Does the woman find the man to be equally hot? The straight viewer doesn't even want to think about whether the man is sexy for fear that the viewer might have gay tendencies.

Now think of a lesbian scene. Woman A and Woman B are getting it on. Does Woman A find Woman B attractive? Yes. So does the straight male viewer. Does Woman B find Woman A attractive? Yes. So does the straight male viewer. So in the case of a lesbian scene, the straight male viewer finds two people whom he agrees with, not just one.

This is, in part one big reason why men find lesbian scenes very arousing.

I think another part is that lesbian scenes depict women when they are most adventurous. In straight sex scenes (and in many of our bedrooms), a woman can just lie there with her legs open, and not have to take much initiative. But in a lesbian situation, both woman are on the offensive, exploring the forbidden pleasures of another female body. In other words, lesbian sex shows women actively experimenting and exploring their sexuality, as opposed to just lying there and taking it as some straight men fear their women do.

Also, as has been stated here, lesbian sex shows all-female sensuality. Let's face it--men ARE visually stimulated and women are more sensual for us to look at. We think of men as hard, cold sex machines and women as soft, gentle and inviting. Double that gentleness factor and you have the makings of some very sensual lovemaking. With 2 women, there can be erotic sensuality without actual sex. (Just look at a pic of 2 hot women kissing with their clothes on and see if that gets your motor going.)

So that's my 2 cents on why lesbian sex is so hot. I'm not sure that explains all of it; part of it will probably always remain a mystery.

Aweome post!

My wife and I were discussing fantasies and of course the old be with two women one came up. After really analyzing how it would go, I realized that I have no desire to fuck another woman, though the thought of watching her with another woman is extremely exciting. If I were involved, I wouldn't have any problem not having sex with the other woman, but only my wife, and watching her and the other woman.

Is that wierd?

Not wierd for me. I mentioned something similar to this a while back in another thread. (maybe we are twins separated at birth)
LOL, eerie!

I don't think so either. Granted, it might be different for a lot of women, but my experience is after being with someone so long, and loving them more deeply than you ever thought possible, that intimacy can become far more attractive than something new. I don't want sex without deep love anymore; the reality of being with a man or woman without the intimacy just doesn't hold much appeal. I'm sure if we had a crappy relationship, or were really lacking intimacy or sex, that'd be different, but as it is now, same is more attractive than different.

That intimacy can become far more attractive than something new? Yeah, I guess that's it exactly. I guess the other thing is that there's nothing that another woman could do for me sexually that my wife can't or won't. SO other than the eroticism of watching two women together, one fo them being her, bringing another person into our bed wouldn't do anything for me.

I think it's very erotic seeing people who know their partner's bodies as well as their own pleasuring each other.

Men do nothing for me, though.

The best things about lesbians:

1) No cock, and no hairy dudes attached to said cock.
2) The kissing. Oh my God, the kissing. I'd almost be inclined to say that it's the best part.
3) I can put myself in the position of either person and find it incredibly erotic. (The "I agree with both of them" theory)
4) They're just awesome!

It's not as much of a turn on, though, when one of the women establishes a dominant, distinctly male role. It just kills the mood for me.

I, for one am enthrawled at the thought of two women being completely sexual. I mean, there's nothing wrong with testosterone, but it seems to me that when I watch two women together, there's not the raw "amimalistic fucking" that occurs when there is a man involed. Women seem to be mostly sensual and the sex is a beautiful by product of that. Besides, who would know better how to really turn a woman on than another woman. They know ALL the right spots to hit that we males sometimes neglect.

Dark Lover did a nice job explaining why two women together is hot.

The female body is beautiful. The female mouth & tongue are hot. The female voice when experiencing pleasure is hot. Seeing two women's bodies & hearing two women's voices is an orgasmic delight for the senses.

I once posted this list, under a different pseudonym:

1: MORE IS BETTER

Simple math - if one girl is good, two is better.

2: ACTION WITHOUT MEN

Watching a naked girl pose is fine and good, but watching actual sex is far more titillating. The problem for straight guys is that the cocks get in the way. I, for one, don't want to look at anyone else's penis in action. I don't want to see his hairy ass bouncing up and down. I don't want to hear him grunting like a hog when he ejaculates. I want only soft, smooth, female bodies, tender breasts, wet pussies, and feminine voices crying out in ecstacy. And if they're having sex, so much the better.

3: WOMEN KNOW WHAT WOMEN WANT

It's fun to imagine that a woman can drive another woman to sexual heights that a man cannot because he's inherently unable to understand what she truly wants. This theory is in direct contradiction to...

4: THEY JUST NEED A MAN

A man sees two women getting it on, getting hot, and knows that if they only knew what a cock felt like, they'd go for him in a heartbeat.

5: THE TEASE

Like it or not, when it comes to lesbian sex, a man can never really participate - he can only watch. By definition, if he gets involved, it's hetero. And therein lies the ultimate tease. Along the same lines, it's also compulsory voyeurism, which is exciting.

6: FORBIDDEN PLEASURES

Any sex act that society considers deviant or taboo becomes that much more exciting. Lesbianism is becoming more and more acceptable, male-male sex is as well (though more slowly), so this particular excitement is fading. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about equal rights and recognition of homosexual relationships in real life (my best friend is gay), but my own sexual excitement has taken a bit of a hit due to the mystique being ripped away.

I suppose I should mention as a footnote that most of the above stuff applies to lesbians in porn, not real life. I've seen two girls kiss a few times, I've known real lesbian couples, and oddly it doesn't do a thing for me. I think the reason for that is that I've always been turned off by the idea of someone who doesn't want me sexually in return, and by definition a lesbian woman wouldn't. On the other hand, I've seen performances in Vegas and Houston by two women that completely blew my mind, and that has everything to do with the above theories.

Someone asked the question of why the reverse is generally not true for women - why they don't usually like to watch two men go at it. I've heard that when watching movies of any kind (not just porn), men tend to insert themselves into the movie, while women tend to assume a role already represented. In other words, a man sees two women and thinks about being there with them, while a woman looks at two men and there's no one she can identify with. This is why straight women sometimes like lesbian porn, because they have two choices of someone like themselves - it doesn't have to mean that the woman observing would be into lesbianism, just that she likes pretending that she's a woman enjoying sex. And, this is why a straight man doesn't generally like to see men in porn; since he's not replacing the man, but rather joining the action, the male pornstar is competition - and we don't want that!

Oh, forget all that. Men love it when two women fuck. Enough said.
