I had all but given up hope you were going to make the deadline but I m glad you did.LOL. Submitted "Save Some Seed of the Lord For Me - The Christmas Mass of the Order of Loving Devotion to the Blessed Magdalene" at 11:58. I doubt anyone is gonna come in after me. LOL
The last section is really rough, and honestly, it sucks but I ran out of time, and I'm going to have to redo it after the competition, but at least it's in........I hasten to add, this is NOT a competition winner so I'm not gaming it this time. LOL
That's a lot of stories in one day! We've hit 162! So that's the record number of published entries for this comp. And presumably some more still being processed.

There should be a few more tomorrow. Anything submitted in that lead in to the submission deadline should go live Sunday 8th.That's a lot of stories in one day!

I submitted yesterday morning, got approved about two hours later and will go live Dec. 8. (Tonight!)
I think they're comparing the count now to the count in contest pages that are still accessible on Lit. That goes back less than ten years, and the "no chapters" rule has been in place that whole time. The previous "record" should have an asterisk anyway. It was prior to the no chapters rule going into place, so at least a few of the entries were individual chapters of a larger story.
For clarity… it was for all years of record, and the previous record* of 2005 does include chapter entries. And a first prize of $700 USD! But the new generation have beaten it anyway, aided only by performance enhancing drugs and modern technology.I think they're comparing the count now to the count in contest pages that are still accessible on Lit. Aw dang, I just realized I could have called Sammi Elf Gets her Stocking Stuffed "Shelf Elf Sammi's Stocking Stuffer" and it would have fit the title! Dang nab it.
I blame that it was late and I was running on fumes.
Look at the x axis labels. There should be a few more tomorrow. Anything submitted in that lead in to the submission deadline should go live Sunday 8th.
I actually prefer the title you used. I think the other option goes a little too hard on the alliteration. The one that you used feels just right in that department.Aw dang, I just realized I could have called Sammi Elf Gets her Stocking Stuffed "Shelf Elf Sammi's Stocking Stuffer" and it would have fit the title! Fair. "Sammi the Shelf Elf gets her Stocking Stuffed" would have been perfect, I think, but "Sammi Elf gets her Stocking Stuffed" does get the original intent and alliteration across good. I'm glad you like the title I used! I feel better about it now.I actually prefer the title you used. I think the other option goes a little too hard on the alliteration. The 2005 list was a fun read. There are a few authors there I recognize and one (@sack) who's even in this year's list. For clarity… it was for all years of record, and the previous record* of 2005 does include chapter entries. And a first prize of $700 USD! But the new generation have beaten it anyway, aided only by performance enhancing drugs and modern technology.

You just need the 25 votes, so you're qualified.Another question: Did I only need over 25 votes to qualify for the contest (just one day and it's sitting at 4.73 stars : 51 votes! Very proud of that!), or is there also a daily amount of votes I need to be getting, too?
