Hey now, some guys actually like "chick flicks."

My husband wanted to see The Ugly Truth because of his love for Katherine Heigl. And I enjoy going to action flicks (partially because I enjoy the ass-kicking shoot-em-ups too and partially for the shirtless buff men).

Your post made me smile. I wondered the same thing... "That was 'TMI'???? In what universe?" And, once more, it seems many Lit members answered honestly regardless of what Beck wanted to hear.

Yeah, I'm starting to think he should just make a bunch of dummy accounts and make his own perfectly-crafted threads without any messy other human beings messing up his perfection.

I have found that assisting with the organization of a "girls movie night out", whether at a theater, or at the home of one of the girls goes a long way, and can often achieve the same aphrodisiacal objectives mentioned earlier in the thread.

I purchase movie tickets or arrange the pay-per-view (if the veiwing is at our place), make plans to do something with the kids, and Mrs. E and her lady friends head out for a little dinner, some wine, and a wee chin-wag before the movie. They then take in Sex In The City or (insert whatever Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon Hollywood chic-flick-template movie) and then Mrs. E comes home relaxed and romantical from the movie. Kids are tucked in and sleeping, and after a glass or two of Pinot Panty Remover, some of the steamier scenes from the recently viewed romantic comedy are re-enacted, with me ad libbing the part of the male lead .

Benefits:
Mrs E gets a break from the kids, something she sometimes appreciates more than the movie or the company of her friends
The movie is being enjoyed by those targeted by the movie
I don't have to sit through that drivel and fret over the 90 minutes to two hours of my life I will never get back
Mrs E is amorous and often appreciative (and wanting to show her appreciation) of her loving husband at the conclusion of such evenings

If my girl needed a little extra stimulation to get her in the mood then I'd do most anything to make that happen. If sitting through a boring or cheesy movie is going to inspire her to fuck my brains out after, all I can say is pass the popcorn.

Absolutely. Why do you think any guy sits through chick flicks? Perhaps somebody here should publish a list of the movies that women like and put them in the mood. It could be worth a gold mine. LOL!

The Notebook - I hear the groans already, but it works for the long, slow stuff.
