Awake before dawn Sarah inched up the blackout curtain on her bedroom window. She couldn’t sleep, worried for her fiancée, Henry. A film of morning dew coated the window, blurring her view of the English Channel. Then the roar of a thousand Allied planes. June 6, 1944. Henry never returned.

She contemplated the confession he'd made earlier. Of course, there would be no forgiveness, especially since he'd cheated with her sister.

Roast - Robe - Test

He found her downstairs in the kitchen making breakfast in his robe, the smell of fresh roasted coffee in the air. Wrapping his arms around her and nuzzling her neck he pondered what size ring to buy. Any woman who makes pancakes in a man's robe passes the test, right?

Ditch - Alliance - Magic

"So, can you shoot magic from your wand?" she asked, eying me greedily. Though we had competing illusion acts, we'd finally ditched the pretense that weren't attracted to each other. This alliance was purely physical, and I was a series of hard thrusts away from giving her a standing "O."

He was eating his disgusting lime green Jell-O. Still naked, I crawled on the table before him and opened my legs.

M&Ms - strippers - auto racing
(Is it fair that auto racing is two words? And M&Ms is kinda 3?)

Joe boasted, “decals, in my day we used strippers to remove a logo.”
The young gun flapped the vinyl decal with the newest M&Ms flavor on it.
“Yep, auto racing was a real job then. Men were Men.”
The kid tried to ignore him, ready for another boring Earnhardt story.

three - six - whatever

Three times she had thought about waking him, but after the night’s exertions she was a little sore and it was so comfortable to rest against his chest.

light - wireless - aerosol

The light from the wireless modem was driving Kate crazy. It would alternate from a bright green to a flashing yellow. There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to what was happening and it didn't affect her wireless service. An aerosol can of spray paint solved the problem.

nasal - dandelion - whale

Very excellent start, HD! Welcome to the thread!

The morning light drifted through the window as Norma opened sleepy eyes. Her hands strayed across all of her favorite stuffed animals sharing her bed.

Ignoring her wireless phone, she sprayed an aerosol freshener around the room and seated herself in front of the neighbor's cat on her taxidermist's table.

I apologize for missing this - I took the three words from the post just above mine.

Her nasal passages clogged, she could barely smell the dandelion held before her, blowing it clean. She smiled up at the sun.

"What a beautiful day", she mused.

Rolling her onto her front, the five men removed her handcuffs as the sperm dripped out of her nose, restoring her breathing.

Antediluvian - memorization - pyrophobia

Heavy stuff, Latecomer – and heavy words you left!

barefootgirl and I were discussing these words, and I told her I could come up with a heavy response, but something lighter was going to be difficult. She took the challenge and came up with an amazing response! So I’m posting both in this entry. We hope you enjoy our diversity!

This is my entry…..
He was fed up, tired of her antediluvian notions, her old-fashioned ways, her constant scripture memorization taking away from his time with her. He knew scripture also, and he thought about demonstrating his own knowledge by torching her house, as a sort of “burnt offering.” But his pyrophobia prevented that…

And this is barefootgirl’s entry…
He wanted something truly kinky tonight. She hoped all the memorization would help her play her part in this antediluvian role-play.

Stepping into the bedroom, her pyrophobia kicked in and she blew out all of the candles while screaming

"Let's just be cavemen BEFORE there was fire."

The cavemen watched the smoke coming from the mountain top. One of the men remembered seeing some orange flowers when he had been hunting. The men walked for several hours, gathered the flowers, then walked all the way to the mountain base where they laid their offering for the gods.

Popcorn – placate - history

Sharing a bowl of popcorn, we snuggled, watching a romantic comedy, my sense of intimacy momentarily placated. My husband and I haven't had the best history of this kind of closeness, but our sex life was red hot, so I asked my gay friend to leave before he got home.

(Is it okay to use the past tense version of the word?)

redirection - nexus - quadrangle

After hours spent behind locked doors, a nexus still hadn't occurred. The jury was frustrated as they entered the quadrangle to get fresh air and, hopefully, a new idea of how to get a guilty verdict. The redirection of their debate that afternoon soon had them back in the courtroom.

Chili - basket - handcuffs

Chili and a basket of fries, eaten with handcuffs on. That's all I freaking need, with those idiots driving this U.S. Marshall's van to God knows where. Still, I better eat to get the strength to break loose and let somebody out there know that I'm the cop, not them.

epithelium - migratory - ordnance
