You ever discuss law...

I hate 'evil' lawyers, those that are not honest and not just. I just fear that most are, thus we have a really bad reputation, all over the world

Thanks, I know I'm not bad with my English. Studying it for 9 years at school and spending a year in the US does help with it... ;) Jokes, sarcasm, and irony are pretty hard at times, though.

There are many good lawyers. In every profession it is challenging to find the good ones and sort them from the lazy, stupid or incompetent.

Yeah your English is very good.

You know what's funny in an odd way... I used to think America was the land of sexual freedom and smut etc etc... Thinking we were more "outlandish" than the rest of the world... Until I watched "EuroTrip" and they started talking about how Europe is more open sexually than the U.S.

Then I recalled hearing about how European magazines print nude photos than American versions won't, and show commercials with breasts in them, etc etc... All this stuff clicked in my head and all of a sudden I REALIZED....

America is the land of prudes!!

We are only as free as we allow and demand for ourselves. Rights are a mutable thing.

Exactly. We keep all his marks hidden for work and school. He's the quiet type who tink sex belongs in the bedroom anyway, so people not knowing we do BDSM is fine by him. On the other hand, he doesn't have the engagement ring, I do... so there is nothing marking him. I ordered the removal of the RPA I got him because of migration and haven't been able to afford a tattoo of my tastes to replace it yet.

The only reminders he has are a leather wrist band he cannot wear to work and times when we play with something smelly and I leave him a scented posty-note(to match the night before) in his lunch.

RPA? Migration? I'm lost Rrrosyn. Please tell me more?

Chris?

Yes, well, the problem really is, we (Europe) kicked out the religious extremists which we could because we had monarchies and weren't big on people's rights, least of all religious freedom. Then those all went to what later became the US and were able to build a society to fit them.

Actually, here, the US is also thought of as free and sexually 'advanced', but mainly from starting the whole 'love and peace' thing. It's really strange, and only slowly do people realize that it's the other way round...

LOL, shops, media and TV in general here is much more open with nudity and SM not seen as something extraordinarily unusual in publications, goods, programmes and live entertainment....and then there is the Red Light District.....and very low age of consent between similar age groups.

RPA = Reverse Prince Albert. Piercing is usually hooped and goes through the top of the head of the penis and out the uretha.

Migration is when a piercing moves away from the original position. Sometimes it moves a bit and stops from the weight (such as earrings) but most times it keeps moving as the body is rejecting it and forcing it out the way it would a sliver. In his case it was moving in a manner that would have hurt the direction of the uretha. It had moved 1/8" in a year. So I ordered him to remove it. It matched my engagement ring and was my mark on him, so he was very relunctant.

The place was colonized by Puritains! They didn't bring the bidet over with them because of two reasons.

1. It pleasured women.

2. Severe lack of running water.

Anyone remember the twice occuring role of a Domme on CSI? I think it was twice maybe three times. Now that was Las Vegas and we know it is a bit different than the rest of the US there. But I was so hopeful the Domme and CSI agent would get a relationship going. Just enough to have her pop up again. Sure enough she was in at least 2 episodes, but then vanished.

Also, I read in a comedy article (strange jobs) that in NYC the laws against a lot of "entertainment" are so strict that seeing a pro-Dom/me is the only thing left that is legal. Something about the fact that they are not actually having sex slipped it under the new laws.

Awww cool and what a shame! I haven't had much pierced.

I guess I figured I have enough holes but the idea of what you can do with those piercings! Ahhh I want to know more. Of course that would require me showing certain parts I never do show to anyone but my beloved.

I do I do! Also in this new show about Lawyers sort of like the Trump show, there was a Domme, boy was she not legally wise. The judge was hilarious though he was clearly interested in learning more about D/s and knew more than he wanted anyone to know. LOL!

LOL, I remember it well and was hoping things would go further simply because it was acted in a way which hinted that the chemistry was there in abundance and that a pairing of the two could be very pleasing and growth orientated......why do these writers etc., begin to get something right and then just drop it?!!!!!!

I have my nipples done. Did them when I was single and on a whim. I think I was bored and couldn't afford another tattoo. I have a small tat on the back of my left hand of a rose. Oh and three holes in my left ear plus two in my right. I would do more to my ears. Uninterested in trying to keep a clit or labia piercing clean. I am kinda a high infection rate and shouldn't get pierced at all.

I haven't seen that show. I find most people though will want to know more or ask questions. Few are silent. Some will attack your lifestyle. But the majority seem to want to know more.

My mother is the only one I have just flat out told. We live with her for medical reasons and I didn't want her wondering at any sounds she might hear and worry. She just wanted to know what it involved beyond handcuffs. She sees him get my drinks first and massage my feet and all those sweet tender things a sub is supposed to jump to without being asked. Just the sex we keep in the bedroom. (Although the counter-top was real nice that day she was out of town. Shhhh.)

It even ticks her off when he does something for me without acknowledging she neeeds the same. Like a drink. Or turning the fan off her and toward me. He's clueless sometimes.

Sadistic like me when I masturbate my sub? Start, stop, start... yes... yes... stop.

I actually wrote CBS when they brought her back for the second episode with compliments. If it weren't for the D/s relationship, no one would ever listen to me. Ah-ha!!!

You're probably not old enough to remember the 60s and the days of free love. That was a fun time to live in. No A.I.D.S., no Religious Right, no sexist feminists...

Then, I think it all changed when women started burning their bras....That was the beginning of the end. A small but significant beginning of a bad thing.

Now, we have all of the stuck up religious types who can'ts stand to see how the rest of the world lives so we can't do anything, see anything or even hear anything that isn't white washed. The United States used to be on the right track for sexual freedom. But, somewhere along the way, we got sidetracked.

QUOTE]

I actually agree with you to a point. I joined this world in the 70s. I missed all that. I, personally, believe women leaving home for the workplace caused a breakdown in family structure that could not be replaced by any number of after-school church programs.

Now here's the odd part. I am female. I am the dominant in my relationships. I am not a feminist! Now don't attack me ladies. I am all for women who want to work, but now we have a society that requires two sometimes three incomes to sustain a comfortable living. That wasn't fair.

The "battle" for women's rights also effected the children. Women started reaching for the door and side-stepping when a man tried to be a gentlemen. Subtle things in attitude raised a society of very rude men. I don't know about the others out there, but I know my generation speaks man-to-woman and vice verse with very little respect and my sister's generation is worse! Just because a woman can do something herself doesn't mean she should have to! "Want to" is a whole other story. Equal pay was needed.

I spent a lot of time with my grandparents when I was growing up. And rule number one was the woman ruled in the home. The man may have made the income, but the woman was in charge of the bills and budget. The woman may have cleaned the house, but the man was in charge of keeping it up - plumbing, broken molding, ruined plaster all fixing was his job. My grandmother never needed to fight for her rights to be treated properly and equally by the men in her family. She had her standing as the real head in the household. If she could do it, why can't I?

I can do or be anything a man can. I even learned to piss standing to prove it to my male cousins. But! I should never have to. A gentleman (if he is around) should jump for that closed door and offer to carry my luggage. ERA killed chivalry.

Women were never lesser. They just needed equal pay and then all would've been dandy. Also, burning my bra would tip me forward. Bad idea all around.

(Think I just hijacked my own thread... oooops)

Grrr... what really makes me mad is not that men don't open doors, but that more women don't open doors. Chivalry is more than just a MALE ideal. I hold doors open for the people behind me, or people going the opposite direction through the door. It's called common courtesy. I thank those men or women who do the same for me. I let people merge into me lane, I try to get behind the people in the other lane when I have to change lanes.

Common courtesy should not be limited to one sex or the other. Kindness and politelness accomplishes a lot more than anger and rage (I will admit there are times to add a little bit of anger, but only after politeness has been tried with several people first - I rarely need to go to that level).

I think those who shun the offer of kindness (as expressed by a held door) are doing themselves a disservice.

(I'll shut up now, but this is a pet peeve of mine)

Where I live MOST men still hold the doors and smile when I approach and I let them returning their smiles. The South can be sweet ladies and gentlemen.

Sodomy is illegal here as is all sex that is between people not married to each other. Ha! Yeah that get's enforced.

Also, it is illegal to sell sex toys here but not to buy or own them. The local sex toy store has stickers that say, "For Novelty Use Only." There are Tupperware like sex toys parties and I haven't been invited yet damnit! Tupperware I don't need that is what all those used Cool Whip containers are for! LOL! Sex toys I could always use more of...

PS

There is a great little song from an off Broadway production called I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It On the Road.

Strong Woman Number

I’m doing my strong woman number.
Walking with my head held high.
Doing my strong woman number
Determination in my eye.

I know how to make a decision.
My opinions are my own
And the one that I love thinks it wonderful
That I can get along alone.

Cause he knows I’ll never be a burden.
I won’t hang on his sleeve.
I’m so self sufficient
I’m so easy to leave.

I can hang my own pictures
I can live my own life.
Maybe I’m looking in the wrong direction
Maybe I need a wife?

I’m doing my strong woman number.
And oh I’ve such self-esteem!
I can handle any crisis
I’m so capable I could scream

I’ve got my whole life together
Reconstructed it bit by bit
But as for finding love my friend
This strong woman number
Doesn’t mean a shit!

(I sing this rather well!) :rose:

Here's hoping my quotes are fixed, they sure look messed up on a re-read.

I hold doors open if I get to them first or if someone is behind me. No biggie. I just prefer to be in date-mode when I am out with someone. Heck, if he is carrying my baggage I might run ahead to get the door. I can be nice.

But how often do you see this courtesy in people 25 and younger? It's sad. Truly. Which is why you state precisely what I said. Women (who happen to be people) shunning the open door did themselves a great wrong.

My sub is from the South. He can be pretty vulgar, but it is influential. Like if his co-workers are being foul-mouthed he will fit in. I am 29 and I don't cuss except during sex. I have problems with "fuck" "shit" ect, but "cock" and "cunt" give me no hassels. LOL He is 23 and still needs a bit of polish.

I live in cattle country in California. The older gents are so nice. They practically run to the doors. But you go a few hundred miles south and hit the cities, the doors swing shut in your face.

Don't you just love cowboys. Being in a western state, I gotta say, these guys still have the concept of civility and chivalry.

Course, it's also a state where I appeared before a judge this morning with an unmarried mom who was seeking child support and she got asked point blank by the judge if the child was a "bastard". *sigh*

And only about 5 years ago... a judge was still making women lawyers appear in skirts. If they showed up in court in pants... he had a skirt there for them to change into.

Progress not perfection, right??

It is always possible cowboys are so civil because of all the times a bull has dropped them on their head? :D Just came back from the rodeo.

But you bring us back to law.

It isn't just being tossed in jail. If you're whipping your spouse, how many people out there wouldn't waste a minute taking your children away? Teachers and school staff call CPS on a dime if they think someone is being abused here in Cali.

I knew a very abused woman who finally went into a Safe House when the courts threatened to take the kids from her because she was too afraid to file charges against her husband. (And I knew the principal who lied to the cops when the husband filed kidnapping charges after he couldn't find her or the kids.)

Yep. And, hey for anyone who might be divorced/divorcing/unmarried but still seeking custody of your kids... this sort of damages your chances of success in the U.S. at least. The view is that you've got to be defective somehow. So... do not reveal this to the homestudy person, kay???
