Your choice of binding?

Shoelaces work well for CBT. I have used a lot of stuff. Including bungees. But I still use clothesline from the dollar store.

So do ponytail holders. :D

When I'm bottoming, I couldn't care less what I'm tied up with, or if I'm even tied up at all. Bondage is fine, but it's not the main focus of my bottoming experience. So whatever's quick and easy's fine with me.

Ahhhh Goodies...

Sort of sparks the imagination..Hmmm especially the porch swing chain set..

Handy for the neophyte..

I use a 1/2 inch Poly {NOT the twisted} Bought off the spool by the foot.. Inexpensive, practical, available in a range of colors {I use black ..I'm a traditionalist, what can I say?}.. Cuts easy.. The ends fuse smooth. Doesn't leave "braid marks" that might have to be explained tomorrow.
*grin*
And it doesn't seem to be effected by the most common lubes... And can be washed easily.

They make good cock rings also!

I second the reccomendation for Jay Wiseman's "Erotic Bondage handbook".
Beyond covering knots and positioning, it covers the best kinds of rope to use, caring for your ropes and safety. A definite must have for anyone interested in rope bondage.
i love being in cuffs and legirons

My personal choice is a good leather cuff, a small but effective lock, and as much rigging (quick links, D-Ring, etc) as needed to gain the posture desired.

Although I do quite enjoy the texture of rope and various other things, this works best for me, simply because tension remains even.

It's amazing how easily I can get distracted and frustrated because there's inequality in how tight the ropes are, etc.

I have a near ocd compulsion for evenness.

I thinks it's more that I have heightened awareness and sensitivity during those times and I become a bit skittish.

But then, well, it does occasionally flare up at other times.

My wife/pyl has a condition called SPD (Sensory Perception Disorder) which causes her to seek sensory input in the strangest of ways. She's very distracted by things that would never affect someone else. If a scene is going to go well, then I need to pay very careful attention to the subtlest of things.

Hi-
We just bought thigh cuffs that are amazing! Up until that point we used rope, handcuffs, and bondage tape- all which are good but this Thigh Cuffs are the best! It it velcro/nylon-ish. It wraps around the wrists and secures them to the thighs. We have only used them a couple of times but they have worked very well. Definitely gives you the feeling of restrained.

I've become intrigued by the thought of mummification with plastic wrap. I keep reading where a person can become overheated if left wrapped for too long. The question how long is too long? Does it matter how thickly a person is wrapped (one sheet deep, 2-3 sheets deep etc?) if my feet, hands and head are not wrapped do I still have to be concerned about overheating?

Thanks
