I need a break from my current WIP to let some ideas percolate in my brian for a while.

So I'm outlining Goth Girls and Pancakes. Man about 30 who has had relationships but is currently unattached is working on a job that pays well but has irregular hours. One Friday he has breakfast at 3AM at a 24-hour IHOP. He been there before, but never after midnight on a Friday. He walks into a Goth party, most patrons and staff are dressed Goth style. He'd known nothing about Goth culture apart from it's existence. He sees hot women in black partying and gets surprisingly aroused... The parties are a weekly affair, and he really immerses himself in the culture and the relatively open sexuality in this group, bedding many women in a quest for the right one.

Do you think I can pull that off? If I can, it will contradict my concept of myself as being unable to write fully consensul but unloving sex. An interesting challenge for me.

I'm a bit stalled on Goth Girls and Pancakes--my personal life is going so well (primarily due to a relationship with a woman who's 28 to my 68), it's hard to focus on writing. And of course, it has morphed into a love story--mine always do. Might as well lean into it.
