I adored the series written by VertigoJ called Party of Five. It was beautifully written, both the sex scenes and the atmospheres outside the bedroom were second to none.

I both agree and disagree. VertigoJ was a talented storyteller who developed characters well with sharp. occasionally humourous dialogue. However, the first couple of chapters were poorly edited from a technical point of view, thogh that did improve.

The biggest problem with the series was that it ran into a plot 'brick wall' - largely because the author couldn't bring himself to remove characters from the story. Dawn's story was pretty much told, it was time to move her on, promote her ,send her away or something. Jacqui was not exactly played out but was still cluttering up centre stage. There was not enough room for the Alice and Valerie relationships to develop.

The best thing about this series was that despite its obvious faults it was still one of the very best and most highly rated stories in this category.

I read this story called Katie's Dream by craygus13 in the nonconsent/reluctance thread... and while I'm not sure if it ever specifically says incest in it, it's pretty heavily implied if not outright stated.

It's erotic in places, and scary in others, and at least at one point, actually really romantic. I don't know how I really feel about it, but some of the imagry in it stuck with me for a while, and still creeps up on me every now and then.

I've written a few that have been well accepted, but I think my favorite is one that's very easy to miss. It was submitted as part of the FAWC 2 contest, and is in chain stories. It's 9 lit pages, and if not part of a competition, would probably be two or three chapters. Because of the category, not many people have had a chance to see it.

A brother and sister conspire together to prove to their Mom she doesn't have to leave the house to get what she needs, when it looks like she's about to step out on their father.

During their mutual effort to stop Mom, old issues are set aside, and they become close. Very, very close. And together, they convince Mom that everything she needs is at home.

Writing incest is a funny thing, because it's become more than apparent to me that the vast majority of the readership wants to see an incredibly incredulous scenario in which whatever family members are involved are more than willing to engage in the most outrageous sexual acts imaginable, and make them seem almost plausible.

To be honest, I can understand this lure. Incest, for most, is little more than a fantasy that will never, ever, be realized, and even those who have incestuous fantasies tend to view them from a detached point of view, as in, "I don't really want to fuck my mother, but I'd fuck a hot MILF her age and call her 'mommy' for half an hour . . ."

The attraction to incestuous erotica lies in the strong taboo nature. "You tell me I can't fuck my sister? Fuck that! I'm gonna do her!" But there's more than that. There is the perceived romantic nature of incest, which I explored in my story "One Blissful Night." In that story, my main character comes home after a date in which he failed to get laid. He's sexually frustrated, and there's his sister, who is also home on a weekend night, avoiding her own demons. They're both craving release, and the sister has long had an idea that she wants to give her virginity to someone who will always be there for her. Who better to fulfill that need than her brother?

It's a pretty far-fetched idea, even given the logic (such as it is) behind it, but the story satisfies many an incestuous fantasy. It's the basic idea of 'boy wants girl, girl wants boy,' only there is the added taboo that it is brother and sister. Take that away, and it's really just a romantic tale of forbidden love.

I agree that a lot of incest is over the top and enough to make even someone who has a kink for it(like myself) roll my eyes. A lot of stories are no more than "Mom looked hot, why not?" and then dad catches them and joins in and then sis and....

But I have carved a niche for myself by attempting to "justify" the taboo attraction in various ways and take my time doing so. But, lets face it, it is still far fetched, but more fun when there seems to be a reason.

And I agree there is a faction in the incest crowd-again, I belong to this one, that enjoys that forbidden romance, not just taboo sex, but that being in love with the one person you shouldn't love in that away.

I think incest is maligned(and its hard to argue the case) for the bulk of the "wow look at my sister's tits I want them" stories.

But there is a huge audience here for both incest stroke and incest romance.

For stroke, no one beats This guy.

I want to toss in that authors like kinkybibelle and another female author -who's name escapes me- who brag in their bio all their incest stories are true turn me off. Incest is best served 18+ consensual and fantasy, when someone posts "but we could never get him to have sex with his sister because he saw her as a young girl" it kills it for me.

But going by their ratings I am in the minority.

I'm one of the guys who goes for realistic and romantic stories, mainly because of my own thoughts, fantasies and experiences. I think stroke stories ignore what could be a very valuable aspect of incest stories. They tend to ignore how family bonds forged in blood and experience can produce profoundly emotional moments. That waste of potential has always bugged me.

I'm probably different from most people in that my love of incest stories does not come from the taboo. Rather I like them because I relate to the stories (the plot-centric and romantic ones), because they focus on the bonds forged between them, and the "us versus the world," mentality. All this makes incest stories much more emotionally profound than typical romance stories.

Also, to sate my curiosity, why don't you like, "true" stories?

I have one that went from #1 on the 30 day list to never even showing up on the 12 month list(also badly broken there are stories two years old still on it) and would right now be in the top 10 in the all time.

I have noticed that you are on that page as top 10 popular authors of incest category dated today,7 days & 30 days.

Also you are ranked at 31st place on favoritest literotica authors list. I have just started reading your Sibling with Benefits series(read first chapter today), writing style is quite unique & riveting. But I have one complaint about your overall incest writing theme- initial built up, guilt & finally thrill of succumbing to ultimate taboo (which I prefer) is missing,Please give it a try in your future work if possible, but one of the top work none the less.

Note-

English is not my first language.

I am agnostic so my initial dislike towards incest stories wasn't out of morality but rather real life preference. But as mentioned those quality authors pulled me in to read it.


I have just joined as member, so I don't know whether overall rating of a story is based on vote of only members or it include anonymous votes too.

If possible give me list of other authors in this category whose work you like. I generally don't read stories below 4.5 rating which is catch 22 situation as work of some new & old quality authors gets neglected due to possibility of troll voting.
