I keep it in my "bag o'tricks" as a constant reminder of that painful lesson and I have never used it again. It serves as a reminder to me to always be sure that a sub is prepared for what I am going to do and that I have thought through the scene completely, not just my desires, but her comfort level.

My favorite "toy" is a set of four made-for-me cuffs. They're dark brown and red suede with roller buckles and locking hasps. I've had them for, gosh, probably 15 years. They fit me perfectly, of course, and have seen so much wear, they've become the absolute epitome of comfort with regard to cuffs.

Ruby has seen them; didn't they look comfy, Rubes?
