Self-care is important, too!Can I write about someone loving themselves for Valentine’s Day?
I've seen high engagement too although I was expecting more flow-through traffic to other stories but it seems limited to just the contest entry (maybe due to the site navigation to the author bring a tad hard to do ?)So far I've had a good reception to my story this year, but the initial surge seems to have faded now. 9k views so far.
It's comments like that which make this hobby worth while. I had one reader say, "You must be a pro!" Well...Duleigh, thought you'd appreciate some company in Romance for this one! As my story progressed it felt a little less LW and more like it belonged in Romance, beta readers confirmed that. Doing OK for the first day, nice to see this comment:
My only problem with such a wonderful story is that it should have been sent to a major publisher, so that millions plus could enjoy true love reading.
Perhaps some day an opportunist will come across these wonderfully written words and turn it into a movie that will be truly unforgettable for everyone who sees it.
My reader was probably so far over the top that the air was very rarified up there. But for one bright shining moment it was wonderful to believe 'maybe he's got something there!'With very little polish, I'd include Duleigh on par with many of my favorite authors, including Clancy, Cussler, Coontz, Forsyth, Koontz and Ludlum and vastly superior to most others.
Thanks Chloe - Japanese Bandstand!Ooooh, a Valentine's Day song - from Vivian Hsu.
That was so sweet! A darling young girl with an awesome voice and the ultra-kawaii background... it makes me want to write another one...LOL. I'll throw in another one.....
Does it have romance? Chocolate giving? Cupid? Sensuality? It's fine.I've been reading through the Valentine's Day entries and there's one that has no mention of Valentine's Day in it.

For those of us who believe VD is a put on by the florists and chocolatiers, hitting those points seems to be enough with the readers.
I went for tinned steak, asparagus and luke-warm champers in my effortFor those of us who believe VD is a put on by the florists and chocolatiers, hitting those points seems to be enough with the readers.
How to say you're British without saying you're British!I went for tinned steak, asparagus and luke-warm champers in my effort![]()
Heh. I (British) did one a few years ago with excellent seared steaks - it played with the stereotype of what men want, being called Steak And a Blow Job Day...How to say you're British without saying you're British!(And, yes, I see your location, but I found the line to be funny.)
Mmm,...sigh....Heh. I (British) did one a few years ago with excellent seared steaks - it played with the stereotype of what men want, being called Steak And a Blow Job Day...
Surely you could have the starter and main course in the same evening?Mmm,...sigh....Whenever I've suggest palying along, the Mrs. says it'll be the day after Licking Prawn and indulging in her nectar day. Fair's fair.
Doh! She's duped me again!Surely you could have the starter and main course in the same evening?
Sometimes your story ends up in a different category than the one you requested, for what it's worth. So I wouldn't worry. My Valentine's Day challenge will be my first story on Lit. It's pending....
My biggest concern is that I put it in the Lesbian category because the sex is lesbian, but the women are tangential to the story being told. I'm worried I'm going to get roasted for it mis-categorizing it. Also wish they give you a few more characters for Description. "A man does a favor for his sister and her wife," sounds like a very different story than what it is.
