The knob Creek single Barrell really is good .is forgotten about it but I had it a week or so ago at a British themed pub near here..... Hadn't had the makers private selection but I'll wait now that you said that. I think 46 is a nice easy one to just sort of keep around

It’s Maker’s. I thought the higher proof would bring out more richness and flavor but it only did a bit. Nowhere near what I was expecting.
The first single barrel Knob I had was the best bourbon I ever had. Like caramel and vanilla with a touch of oak with almost all the sweetness and water removed.
Absolutely delicious.

Agreed. I know what I like: richness and intense flavor. Cask proof is the way to go for me usually. Rye, not wheat.
