Seems like you are with someone you are not sexually compatible with. A sexpositive therapist could help, but I doubt he will go for that. :(

I don't see any signs of violence in what I described... And even if it was violent, it was consensual.. And their arousal was obvious to anyone that cared enough to look.. They could have used a safeword at any point.

To answer the question: Some people are going to have hang-ups and they won't be comfortable in certain situations. I can see people who don't want their wife or significant other exposed to random strangers or men/women they know. It could be religious, cultural, or their personality.

You can try to explain all you want and he is still not going to exercise initiative and make this kind of thing happen. I mean, he's your husband. At some point, you two should have had a conversation where you explain what you want and need and he has his turn to talk about it from his point of view. If that hasn't happened yet, you should get on it and talk to him. If it has, you somehow missed his point of view.
