A Quiet Room šŸ•Š in a Noisy World

In another day or two...looking that direction in the stars...actually just to the right...about an hour before day break...you can see a green comet (very rare color)...last seen when the Neanderthals were watching it

I have this fascination with the Sahara desert; well, with deserts in general really. From reading ā€œThe Sands of Kalahariā€ as a kid to current stuff like ā€œMen of Saltā€ or ā€œSaharaā€ by Marq De Villier, ā€œThe Empty Quarterā€ by Wilfred Thesiger….
I have always wanted to experience the vast silence.
Read somewhere that Islamic nomads say that the desert is Allah’s garden, it’s where he goes to escape the noise of humanity.

I have done a day flight from Europe to South Africa and flew over the Sahara, it was like flying over the ocean for hours.
