What do you get out of nudity?

I enjoy being nude as much as possible. My wife doesn't have the same desire, she hardly goes naked in the house. I have just enough privacy in my yard to go full naked, weather permitting. My step sister has my same thoughts, probably being the way we were raised. My step sis and I have talked about being totally nude, but out of respect for my wife we stay clothed.
Similar for me, my partner thinks being naked is stupid - I'm sure he's more concerned at the farm animals taking a bite at his penis :) I didn't become a 'nudist' until I moved back to the country. The first time I took a long walk away from the house was exciting and scary at the same time. Now it's just second nature!

What part of Australia are you from? I have an outdoor bath and shower installed, unfortunately the hot water isn't connected so it's not always pleasant. We even connected a fully outdoor toilet with an amazing view - however my partner got cold feet (or cold bum) and never used it. Again only for the warm months 😅
I’m in Victoria - the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne (think end of the train line)

Haha I doubt I would use the outdoor facilities in winter if there was no hot water! Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad having a cold water only outdoor bathroom in Queensland?

I'm in the Yarra Valley, the bath and shower I sometimes think are just for decorations. Even in summer I struggle as our water comes from tanks that seem to keep 5 degrees cooler :)

Not to be a dick, but could you define “warm months”? Many of us (especially from Canada) have never associated cold with Australia.

Ha ha, I'm in the country's south so temps are cooler than most of Australia. Winter average in my part of the world is around 13 deg Celsius, which is mid 50's Farenheit (I think). Nothing like Canada, but still too cold to be taking a cold bath outside. Every year I say I'm going to get solar hot water hooked up, it just never happens!

I'm not a nudist in the sense of parading around nude at a nudist resort, beach etc, but I love being nude at home, and yes it's all about sex, nothing at all to do with "loving and being one with nature" etc, I'll leave that side of it to the hippies, lol.

Being now of an ancient age, I sometimes have this internal dialogue with myself:

Q: "How would you like to die?"

A: "Fully clothed"
Well, I want to go out the same way I came in ... buck naked.

There's no poison ivy in Australia but we do have a lot of woody weeds with thistles, and yes I do get scratches if I'm not careful. Having said that I spend most naked time in the vineyard so not much harm in there :)
I guess that in Oz all the poisonous stuff is in the critters rather than the vegetation.

You might want to try what we did... put about 100 feet of garden hose laying uncoiled on the ground and feeding into the shower. As the sun heats up the hose, it gets plenty warm.

Well, if you like being nude in home, that makes you a nudist, but not a "social" nudist. And you don't have to be one with nature and like that, and you don't have to give up sex.

People have troubles with the nudist viewpoint sometimes. Nudism (or naturism, if you will) isn't about sex, it's about being comfortable in your bare skin, and not wearing clothes when you don't have to. People from two years to a hundred years can be nudists.

But humans being humans, there are times when seeing some one nude elicits a sexual reaction. Most of that, I believe, is society's doing, by linking nudity with sex in order to sell products. I can see a nude person at a resort and think "I'd like to fuck that person," the same way I might think it in a clothed environment. But I don't go to a beach or a resort to see naked women; I have the internet for that. I go there to feel the sun on my body and the breezes on my skin. And the women are there for the same reason.

And it's surprisingly easy to uncouple the nakedness from the sexual stimulus.

I feel more comfortable even outdoors without clothes (when the weather permits.)

As for sexual stimulation, most men's sexual attraction to women come from the sexy clothes women (partially) wear! Those clothes (even a string bikini) are selected and designed to hide the distracting imperfections some men might find unattractive. Or the clothes may enhance or direct a man's gaze to her best assets.

A man might look at a sexy female model and lustfully wonder how much better she'd look naked. In reality, he would probably be disappointed if he saw her that way.

A Sun burn!
That's why you see zinc all over my nose and cheeks (and other parts) 😅 ☀️

Good for you Jenni, get out naked in those vines. They always say music played in vineyards helps wines / grapes so you being in there nude will always be a plus.
I'm sure your partner loves it, you all horny after a days graft.

What about poison oak, or sumac? I've had all three from head to toe as a youth, and it's absolutely miserable. My grandfather had a double row of grapevines and they were full of bees, mostly yellow jackets, so I can't imagine being naked there either.
I like the story of you working naked outdoors, when the help shows up, and sometimes you just keep working as if everything's normal.
The boys in our small town spent all of our teen years swimming naked at a large stone quarry, where only males visited. It seemed totally natural for all of us to be naked, and our tans were complete. On some rare occasions, we enticed some young ladies to come along, and I've written a story about that. I would have been able to transition to visiting a nude beach early in my 20's, but that window closed, and now it would probably be very uncomfortable.

I live in a city, so being outdoors naked usually means just skinny dipping. Nordic countries are pretty relaxed about nudity, but it doesn't mean it's accepted to go around naked in a suburb 😉

Also our summer temps are 15-30C, more often 20 than over 25, and 20C just isn't enough for me to run around naked. So, dipping it is, either from sauna or just like that. And that's usually not sexual at all.
Then again, if I get my family's summer cottage just for myself and my special one when it's warm enough... It will probably get sexual. Nobody to see, free time etc. The warmth and nudity aren't even needed for that result.

My partner thinks it's idiotic 😅 our sex life is complicated, I may explain on a new thread some day.

Our parents are nudiest and swingers so being nude has always been a normal experience for me and my sister,
Sex hang-ups don't exist in nudiest families because the Taboo tag is not recognized.
I'm an exobishionst so men watching us from the park behind our parents house is a huge turn on

Very interesting first (and only) post. So nice of genuinely and absolutely real teenage girls to share their thoughts 😅

I believe thats a morally judgemental and simplistic negative view of it... might have been valid in the 'lights out' eras, but not any longer...

Either you are not a nudist, or you've misunderstood what I said.

Sex sells. And it's the clothes which often sell sex. That's why if you were a nudist, you would know that sexy lingerie and "revealing" types of clothes are forbidden at family friendly nude or clothing optional resorts. During her time of the month, a woman can wear a bathing suit bottom at a nude resort, but not a string bikini or thong. And these are not the rules from those "lights out" eras, but by today's standards at nude resorts.

Naked is not sexy. It's the clothes and provocative movements which make the person sell sex.
