Democracies are failing because large portions of the information people receive is meant to create the emotions fear, anger, and hatred in their recipients. These emotions create a hormonal surge similar to crack. This surge is just as addictive as crack. The addicts do far more feeling than thinking which makes it easy to manipulate them into destroying democracy.
