“THE SIGNAL SCANDAL!!!” INVESTIGATION WATCH THREAD.

The Atlantic has been very cautious with what they release. They're mindful that if they publish the leaked secrets they could be charged with espionage. I wonder if that's why Goldberg was invited to the group chat?
So then there's the real possibility the invited party was actually certified safe enough to have access to information that is shared in that particular communications tool.

That kinda shoots the whole 'serious top secret information leak!' narrative in the foot, and would also explain the administration's very limited concern about it.

It was explained in some detail how Goldberg accidentally got included in the "chat":

A previous invite to Jeffrey Goldberg about another matter; confusion over initials (“JG” - also the initials of US trade representative Jamieson Greer) by a staffer in Michael Waltz’ office, and - “VOILA” - a serious national security incident.

It is what it is: a major fuckup from the MAGAt fuck ups.

Absolute fucking bollocks.

A person with Clearance has to be 'signed on' to individual operations. They don't have access to information that they shouldn't have access to.

Damn, this is getting stupider. The Liar in Chief has tasked Elon Musk, officially his 'personal advisor' according to court submissions to investigate Signalgate.

The DOGE team will find:

  1. Too many lazy government employees spend time chatting on the Signal app
  2. They will fire everyone involved who was hired in the last 2 years
  3. They will make Xitter the official app for all government communications, and ban all other apps
👍

Pretty much. The entire democrat narrative is built on a foundation of sand and now they've trapped themselves into trying to double down. Goldberg did them no favor at all.

Even this retarded regime is smart enough to say that upfront if that were the case, dipshit.

Gullible MAGA sheep are repeating the idea that Goldberg was intentionally invited to the Signal chat, despite the fact that the people involved admit he wasn’t intentionally invited.

MAGA sheep are so dumb. 😆

It’s amazing (pathetic) what absolute bullshit the MAGAts believe / try to peddle…

😑

Dumbest timeline ever, and these idiots are driving it.

Sounds like the issue is nothing more than just ensuring information on that particular communications tool doesn't exceed acceptable security levels, since individuals like the journalist here are included in them. Makes a lot more sense now.

Lol. You are a master of telling us you are a cult member without saying you are a cult member.

First, the felon was totally unaware.
Then, the claims of Signal being hacked.
Then, it was there was nothing about war plans.
Then, it was fabricated.

But they won't release the official transcripts and they created a committee to probe the situation that definitely never happened.

Has Weaker Mike Johnson announced an investigation of "THE SIGNAL SCANDAL!!!"???

🤔

It seems as if the Senate may be moving in that direction, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

😑

Not completely unreasonable, I suppose, to task the owner of Twitter/X to investigate a cybersecurity matter.

No, that possibility does not exist. The most liberal, transparency-friendly government official would not regard any journalist as a safe participant in a discussion of military operations.

No, the issue is this admin's sloppy attitude toward security in general. Signal simply should not be used for these purposes.
