Eating an carmelized baked apple I just made and remembering his first love wondering which Grief is worse, grief of what was or grief what was to be.
And I think of one my bosses in his 70s, whose girlfriend dumped him because she fell in love for probably the first time in her life in her 70s, finally grieving his late wife 5 yrs later. Him telling me, it doesn’t get easier as you age, and you can postpone grief but not escape it.
I guess it’s like hurrying love. Although that is tempting to rush through as well.
