I realised I wasn't thinking when I wrote this. I'm still cooking - but just for myself, haha! I'll be having salmon, salad and quinoa. But the rabble are having pizza and burgers. Nothing that inspires me to break my healthy eating.

I don’t use them but I did enjoy their owl shenanigans on TikTok.
Was funny watching their rise and then crash&burn after they made their AI statement (which they have since tried to walk back).
Have you been following that at all? I’m curious how/if it will impact how other brands publicize their AI usage.

I hate AI for a lot of reasons so I've still never used chatgpt but I haven't really been paying attention to Duolingo's statements. I did hear they fired a lot of staff in favor of AI which is disgusting but inevitably going to happen in as many industries as they can get away with. Something tells me that there won't be some utopian future coming where everyone works a few hours per week and AI picks up the slack but I'm getting sidetracked.
Their use of AI the only reason I'm considering cancelling my super subscription or whatever it's called. I hate to give up on an 8 year streak but I also hate to be a hypocrite. I'm paying for it anyway so I may as well pay a bit more for a more reputable language learning platform. Do you use any that you'd recommend?

I mostly agree with this take too, but if there’s an alternative, I’ll do my best to find it. I don’t think there’s much I can do aside from vocally/monetarily support my artist/creative friends.
