Getting frustrated with my dog who keeps wanting to go out in the cold, cold night.

I had a chihuahua that took his time when he went outside. He would walk through all parts of the yard, like a security guard that had to check off each sector.

Once, when we had a brutal cold snap (below zero), he went out the front door, down the two porch steps, lifted his leg, and bolted back inside - all in less than 30 seconds.

I take my dog out and no matter the temperature, he wants to walk and walk and walk. Then I found a dog park buried in the woods three minutes away. I take him over and he does his business in 4 minutes as long as he gets to do a few runs around the park. Of course I have to mention the magic word….”Cookie”
