13 Days of Scary Movies 2024! πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ•ΈπŸ•·πŸ”ͺπŸ©ΈπŸ‘½πŸ’€πŸ€–β›ͺ️πŸͺ“πŸ˜±πŸ¦‡

Day 3: A scary movie that was based on a novel

Dracula Untold is part horror-part action and loosely based on the book, basically a Dracula origin story. It's a lot better than it sounds. And I can't think of a hotter Dracula than Luke Evans πŸ₯΅

It’s absolutely not Luke Evans fault but every time I see him I have to check off who’s he’s not:
Not the guy from The Last Kingdom βœ…
Not Legolas βœ…
Oh yeah he’s that guy from The Hobbit βœ…

Day 1: The very first scary movie you ever saw.
Day 2: A movie with a ghost (not a demon) in it.
Day 1. Friday the 13th- The Final Chapter. First one I remember anyway. I remember thinking "Oh neat, it has Mouth from Goonies in it." But it also has horrors beyond imagination. Such as this:

Day 2. Movie with a ghost in it. Stir of Echoes. Kind of a recent discovery of mine, but it's very well done.

I just think of him as the hot Welshman who sings and occasionally treats his followers to excellent thirst traps, i.e. the perfect man πŸ˜‚

I have to go with William Blatty's The Exorcist

Do you know it was banned in the UK?
When they finally rereleased it 1999ish I went to the midnight showing on the front row off my tits on acid.

Why was (am) I like this?
Were you scared? My mom saw it when it first came out and had to leave before it was halfway over.

Maaaaaaan I watched snippets of Alien the first time I did acid. There’s a reason I don’t do acid.

Day 4: A scary movie with an animal.

Arachnophobia

I am NOT posting a clip.

Does anyone remember an old b&w movie with giant spiders? My nannie watched it one night when we stayed at her house. I was supposed to be sleeping because it was really late at night. I just wondered what the name was. I have no plans to watch it. 🀣

OMG I thought about this one too. I love this movie as much as I hate it. It’s the perfect amount of stress for my mild arachnophobia.

Day 4: A scary movie with an animal.

Two words: carnivorous sheep.

Five words: carnivorous sheep in NEW ZEALAND! Also: weresheep.

Black Sheep, a 2006 comedy horror film out of New Zealand, is violent, grotesque, over the top, and very, very funny. It takes it's ridiculous premise of a genetic experiment gone wrong that turns docile sheep into bloodthirsty killers and plays it deadpan straight. Weta Workshops, who did all the effects work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy, did a remarkable job with both practical and computer effects. The acting is solid, the script is silly but well written, the characters well crafted, and the humor is bloody and low brow. For what it is, it is perfect...
