Congrats on your son making it to the finals....its a wonderful feeling seeing the look in there eyes and how excited they get. Funny how they give us the strength to go on sometimes..

He is 10 and plays Little League...

What a great age and a great sport too! At that age, they enjoy the sport for the purity of the game, which is great! I played football, basketball, and baseball in HS once I grew 7 inches in one summer. I coach 9-10 year olds here--soccer--and just love it. I was always the runt (until I hit high school) and was always the last picked for sports. So I don't tolerate the parents ragging on their kids (Coach Hitler) and if they come to practice then EVERYONE gets to play in the games a bit. I stress fundamentals with emphasis on the FUN part. It has worked to the tune of 2 state titles in 7 years here. Even though I am single with no children, I get a kick out of working with them--imparting my knowledge of the game on such eager minds is fantastic. Makes me sad sometimes that I didn't tie the knot and have a little one myself...I am still just a big kid at heart! I wish you and him the best! AA

Well I love baseball myself... I played girls softball for years....believe it or not I was *short center* only thing I was short for... I was a Volleyball player...not basketball...but my son also plays that in the fall...damn good too... Your a Runt???? Not me I was tall from the get go... Always loved it too... I have 4 brothers that played football and shot put in track and field... I like my son to play but I too believe all kids should play and have fun doing it...I see some coaches from other teams belittle their players. AA you still have time to tie the knot and have kids...this son is one of 4 thank you... I have a 21, 20 and 19 yr old too... I was always there for them as well....

I played Little League as a kid as a Catcher and outfielder. I was not a great hitter, my best game was when I got hit by pitches 3 times in one game by a friend of mine. He reallly shouldn't throw curve balls at me.

I then went on and played Soccer and loved that much more than baseball.

Jacqline... I am trying to hang in today... I am kidding with everyone but my heart is very heavy... My mother is undergoing a very bad operation and will lose her voice if not her life today and I can't be there.. So do me a favor and say a few prayers...
