The tariffs were levied on the goods, not income. In fact, the 16th Amendment originally excluded taxing monies earned from personal labor. It was intended to be a tax on Capital Gains but soon morphed into taxing all sources of "income" because the fucking 3rd wavers like you needed more money so you came up with a plan to steal it from everyone else.

That you don't know any of this only shows that you're as ignorant of tax law as you are about everything else.

But the working people got hosed by those tariffs just the same. Pretending that the working people didn't pay the tariffs is like pretending the VAT (sales tax to you) isn't paid by the customer because the seller forwards the money to the government.

The tariffs made imported goods more expensive, propping up the businessmen and screwing the workers.

As for the income tax, remember that the tax (originally) wasn't taking from the working people, who didn't earn enough to pay income taxes, but from the well-to-do!

We still have seen no sign that the ICE agents in Minneapolis are having any success in calming the situation -- or even very much success at rounding up immigrants.

They were sent there to knock down doors, smash car windows and drag off peaceful protestors in handcuffs. They're hoping to spark a confrontation. Even without a confrontation, they managed to shoot Renee Good to death.

So they'll keep escalating, more and more violence by the occupying ICE troops justifying more and more troops until things get so bad that Donald Trump pretends he has to send in the actual army.

With luck, the army commanders will say, "Posse Comitatus, President Bonespur and Secretary of Warmonger Pickled Pete!"
