This is tough. I have two favorites. KillerMuffin and daughter. They both are excellent writers. They both give tirelessly to this community. They both have something to say besides, "A stuck his dick in B." I hate making choices. But I have been a Muffin reader since I first came to lit.

morganhawke has a engaging manner that makes you feel the emotions of her characters... the determination, desire, and need... impressive writing as well as creative in subject.
powerone in "airport search" makes fantasy come to life... feeling the helpless desire in natalie is intoxicating... great work

I just read her "INFERNAL" and my brain still hasn't come out of shock mode. I have followed her writing since falling into Gargoyles fandom, and had no idea she had this kind of high quality, intense, adult fic too.

I would say she is one of the writers who've most influenced me. Unless PJ Jurado is a member of this site, because he and Mharie were the ones who first tipped snared me into the realm of erotic writing online.

Sabledrake's incredible epic sagas inspired me to "go epic" myself, and provides a stellar example of what to shoot for. Seeing her adult stuff, and it's mind blowing first rate quality, gives me another goal post to strive for.

Anyhoo... Plus by posting the link to her latest, nifty, naughty ficcie, I found this site I never even knew existed! kewl beans *^_^*

It's easy.

Right here in this thread put in your nomination for Most Influential Writer. Just give the author's name and a little bit about them if you'd like. This author needs to have posted something during the 2001 calendar year.

Once you've done that, click the Awards & Contests link above the post to get to the Awards & Contests forum itself. They can be confusing because there's so many of them, but choose one title on the left column, they're links to get into the threads (these strings of posts are called threads). To post your choice for sexiest female character, sexiest male character, most transcending story, and best sex scene all you have to do is know the name and author of the story.

If you can open a second browser window, go to the story, you can add a link. Just right click in the address window, copy, go to the browser with the reply you're posting and past it into the reply field.

Again, they have to have posted in 2001.

Having to choose just one- oh, the agony!

There are some really good writers here...

But this is for the most influential writer, correct?

I'm sweatin' this.... there are at least five names I'd like to throw in, all for different reasons.

But, overall, I gotta settle on Riven Caulfield. His work and dedication to writing has proven very inspirational to me, and that's the best influence of all. And he's good, too

Okay, I have to admit that due to my slow-assed connection I haven't read through all these posts, and I hope that someone has mentioned tate before, but if not, I nominate him. Here are my reasons:

Tate has a wide variety of stories ranging all over the subjects, and each of them (in my opinion) is hot, steamy, and a great read.

When I am in a bind, Tate can always find something to kick me over my stump and get back in to the writing mood. He is great for advice, as well as inspiration.

Tate is always trying new things, Rapunzel, for instance, is awesome, and if he ever finishes 200 lbs of lust I know I'll read it!

Not only willing to share his stories, but also his advice, Tate has influenced me in many ways, made me feel good about my writing, and I think he is one of the more influential writers on this site.
