2002 Survivor Literotica Discussion Thread

I don't get it either. maybe it's the mod thing in the other forum or something.

I say we move it to the author's hangout.

Ditzy Redhead

Hey there,

No offense to any blondes, but I feel like a stereotypical "Blondie" right now.

Okay, so I wrote/read a story to submit to the Audio section. I would like to know how to submit it. Please forgive me, visualize yourself patting me on the head like a child, and tell me what I should do.

Please.

Because I'm cute.

Just saying hello ...

Hi,

I am new to Lit and new to this forum.

Hope I don't disgrace myself too much, and I hope you don't mind me joining in either.

To Willow:

after me, I don't think anyone could disgrace themselves! LOL

don't worry about it, I for one am not going to point my finger and laugh at you...stranger, however, she's a bitch! (j/k)

Question about Non-English

Question -

In the rules it says that you submit the story to the applicable english category, and then submit it to the non-english. My question is "do you get points for the english category? Or do you just get the non-english category points?"

Chicklet

Chicklet--
At least according to last year's rules, my understanding is that you get points for the story in both languages, as long as you wrote the English version, and didn't just do a translation of someone else's work for them.

There may be a better way to do this, but I know that you can submit your future audio story as a text story, then send in the audio file to have it added (the easiest way, if you don't have the right compression software, is to use the 800# and read your story into the phone.)

Hope that helps!

I have a fabulous program for recording sound <shifty eyed> Yes of *course* i paid for it!! <you can't prove anything>

the 800 number only lets you record 2 minutes, doesn't it?

i emailed the file to laurel, i hope she got it...i'm afraid to ask, i don't want to be too impatient.

thanks, though, risia!

The 800# will only let you record two minutes at a time. But, if you make multiple calls and let them know that you are doing so, they'll string them together. I did it once, and they managed to get it synched up just fine.

And you're welcome.
But if you spell my name like that again, you're going over my knee. ;)

Question?

JUDO said:
Jesus Christ, I got another one! I guess I'll use this one to cover 'extreme.' Wow.

I stole Judo's quote from the immunity thread

Do we need a story in extreme? I'm all worried now :(

Nope. Extreme was lopped out of this year's contest for three reasons. 1. It's distasteful to the majority of players. 2. It's not actually a part of Literotica, as such. 3. It gets updated rarely, if at all, due to the happenings with the COPA legislation so it's really too much hassle.

So extreme is safe! (makes note to PM judo) Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

Another Question

Illustrated stories is out, too, right? It's not on the scoring list, but it's another one that JUDO asked to be immune from...Can I just assume that all the categories not listed on the scoring thread are out?

Chicklet

Okay, since we're adding Illustrated Stories, are we then adding Poetry with Audio and Illustrated Poetry as categories as well? And if so, does the point limit for the other poetry categories apply?

Also, if a poem was previously submitted (during THIS year)without audio and one adds audio, how would the poem be scored? What if it was an older poem (before this year, adding new material)?

Thanks in advance.

Who's making these decisions, anyway? I've wondered that.

Killermuffin, set us straight!!

KM,

Is Illustrated Stories on the list of stories we need to do? Has anything other than "First Times" been added to your original list in the begining of the scoring thread?

Please let us know!
