2'nd ooc: High school blues

yes I looked Kage up in the dictionary & it does say that it mean ...
Bay Horse

Okies ... I am gonna go & play by myself ... *miffed*

Yes it does also mean shadow as well as shade ...
and Kagi means key.

I'm using a dictionary from Japan, most ones made in the USA don't list all the meanings. Why different means for the same word? It depends on what the Kanji character is.

Ex: Kami ~ God, paper, hair, top of head, or seasoning (flavor)

Also: the first entree for Kage was Bay horse ...

I know I'm not perfect or any thing but I'm counting one post between your last to entries.

(Yes my math is better then my english.)

Yo, Hy. The enemies were Rock Golems. You might want to change it, cuz rust don't work.

Also, isn't it a little cheap to just make up new techniques for Eiji on the spot? ;) Can't we like, specialize? Yoshiro as the elementalist, Tetsuru as the emotional-healer-type, etc.? If Eiji starts using soul-freeing and elemental attacks, it kind of ruins the fun for me. ^_^

I was hoping for a bit more of a dramatic battle, anyway.

HE doesn't make them on the spot, besides, thats his main weakness, he doesn't know the meaning of perfecting a new move, it pulls his body and mind apart from each other, I'm just messing with Eiji's soul and body for my sick way of humor... :D

But yeah, I'll fix it.

:p

I just wanna fufill a necessary role, y'know? ^_^

I'm thinking Yamanaka will become a Passive Elementalist, affecting the earth around him, whereas Yoshiro is an Active Elementalist, drawing directly from the powers around him...

And Tetsuru makes a good counterpart to Milo -- emotional and mental healing as opposed to physical restoration.

If Eiji starts running off and throwing fireballs and turning undead or goodness knows what, I'll feel a little mopey. And I might even throw a fit. And you wouldn't like that. Because my tackles get even worse when I throw fits. ;)

(I'm teasing. But I would appreciate it if you allow my characters some unique abilities... ^_^)

Basicly my charas speacial magic is that Eiji is random "life stealing" magic (It steals his life force, nobody elses, but I shouldn't ruin the whole fun, now should I?...)

Milo is elemental and healing

Mai is psy and defence

and Cerb is speed and fire (although he can't raise any body elses speed except for himself.)

Dare I ask how Lee and Rikku fit into your plans JC?

I deduce I have catching up to do.

So does that mean no more Rusting enemies? Do me a favor and leave that to Yoshiro-kun... ^_^

And how can you steal your own life force? :p

As to Cats, er, what plans? I just had a storyline planned, and I didn't plan to affect any characters besides my own, at least not directly... I'll just have to wait until this is over to get it started.

It's going to be a dungeon crawl though! ^_^

Well no I was wondering what you Classified Lee, Rikku and LEA as.

Also Hy's plan seems to be useinf life force rather then Mana..... or I think but I was wrong when I guessed about Cerbie.

Well, there are probably two major types of abilities in this world -- planet energy, or "mana"-based; and life force, or "spirit"-based. For example, spellcasters and martial artists. Some people are only one, some people combine the two (but generally never excel at either), and some are, well, neither.

Like, Tetsuru is a spellcaster 90%. She knows martial arts, and she DOES have a few techniques, but most of them are actually spells, like Soaring Spirits which isn't a martial arts technique necessarily.

Yoshiro is also spellcaster about 70% -- he has more techniques than Tetsuru and they are pretty formidable, but they're all restricted to being elemental-based, and his elemental spellcasting abilities are more based around his body. Like, he can light things on fire that he touches, but he can't throw fireballs that are made of real fire. Touji can use his "Ryu-En-Bu" technique for rolling flames, but those are chi-based, not nature-based.

Course, I'm just pulling this stuff out of my butt, but it's always good to structure some laws of the universe, you know?

So, uh, you're asking me what Lee and Rikku would be?

Well, Lee is probably martial arts through and through. It seems like Rikku is spellcaster through and through.

And I just want to make sure that everyone is balanced -- as in, if you're both a spellcaster and a martial artist, you have to be split down the middle somewhere. Just so you don't overpower other martial artists AND overpower other spellcasters. Cuz that ruins it for all the other heroes. ;)

Hmm well my defintion of LEA my upset you. She has the Magic power of Rikku except with older more powerful spells. Then she has the body of Lee (Speed, strength, broken ribs, ect.) But I have only used her once and she lacks Lee's mental powers. (She dose still fly but under magical means.) Besides she's an avatar and all. An Avatar can't be a push over.

Next do the chara's all use Chi? Or do some use Ki? The difrence being Chi is the minds energy were as Ki is the bodys power.

Cats, I think Ki and Ch'i mean the same thing... only Ki is japanese and Ch'i is chinese... :p

At any rate, whatever.

And what do you mean by avatar, anyway? Avatar of what, a god?

And it's not going to "upset me". I just don't want any character to upstage the others...

At the Rare times she shows up she may upstage the others. Consider her sort of a super move of Lee and Rikku.

As for Chi and Ki. You'd be corect but so am I. they are very similar. But while the Japanese used the bodys energy, ki, the Chinese developed Kungfu useing the minds power, chi. So its a difrence of Mind and body.

For example. Lee's spirit blade finishing move is Ki, it unleashes the bodys energy leaveing him physicly weak. Lee's flying skill is Chi, he can do it all day with out his body becomeing tired but will feel mentally fatigues like after a math final.

So how did finals go?
