Hit it again!
Lucian growled to himself as he heard the shout of his coach... but it was true... he had to keep going. After all how was anyone to get stronger if you didn't actually push your limits? He had been training for this for the last ten years... at first, Mixed Martial arts had been just another way to relieve stress... but as he got more and more into it he realized that he was rather good at it... and went competitive.
There was certainly some good money in the business, but for Lucian... it was important that he didn't fight dirty. Some others did... but for Lucian he fought with his heart, and with his skill... and thus far it had served him well! It was his last training session for a week though... which was probably why his coach Dan was pushing him until he thought that he just might throw up... he was taking off for a week... a vacation... something that he hadn't had happened for him in a while.
A few hours later he wiped his face with a towel, leaving his sweat on the floor, but also feeling good about his work. " You make sure you come back now Lucian... we've got a competition a few weeks after your little get away." Dan was saying but Lucian just nodded. " I understand coach... I'll see you in a week."
A few hours later Lucian was driving to the registration of the campground. His eyes were focused on what he was doing as he checked in. The campground had a nice lake, along with some hiking trails, but even as he pulled into the parking he un-loaded his gear from the SUV. He loved this campground because it didn't let you just 'drive into your spot', you actually had to walk to it, creating the 'un-plugging' from the world that he wanted.
As he reached his spot on the campground he looked around and smiled. He was situated in a corner plot, which he liked... to his left was the entrance for the paths for hiking... to the right was the way to the lake. He had a nice little fire pit spot and even as he got there he let his pack down and took his tent, he smiling as he began to un-pack his tent and set up.
He had a few hours until sunset still... so he had plenty of time. He had a cooler with his food, along with a propane burner and of course he could also set up a fire. Really though... he was just happy to get away from all the training... even for a little while. It was very much needed... and very much appreciated! A nice little getaway... a time to un-wind.
