You know, there are new people all the time joining this board and they don't have the experience some of us have. Some of the posts here are to get a reaction some are sincere questions from those who don't know something and have stumbled onto this site.
If you don't want to read a question about anal sex or something don't click on it.
Would hate to discourage people from posting on this board it would quickly become just a closed group and would get dull.

I've been a member here since February of 2000 and reading posts since November of 1999, I've seen just about every thread asked, re-asked and then just for good measure asked again.

Isn't that why we're here in the first place? People wanna ask questions, some will be real questions and some will be questions to get a rise out of people. A lot of "newbies" don't know the community here, and not all discussion boards are like this one, some are there for idiots to just be idiots and sadly some feel they can do that here. Hey they soon learn and move along.

Don't discourage the few that are for real, and try to ignore the ones that aren't (a task that to me seems to be the hardest thing for MOST here to do). Even if you answer them with some smartass comment it'll just keep them going.

I can tell you that for as many people that are annoyed by all the silly questions you'll have just as many that get just as annoyed by the type of post you started this thread with ... your thread is telling others how to post (or should that be how YOU would like them to post) and each and every person that visits this place has a right to post exactly how THEY want too.

Just ignore the silly ones, and answer the heartfelt ones ... then everyone is happy.

Vixenshe is right to complain in my opinion (and I'm a "virgin" poster). Even this thread actually almost became a thread about penis length (the ten millionth?) which would have been perfect irony. In any case I think the "sticky" idea is great. That would keep the too popular topics on the top and avoid restarting the discussion each time from zero.

One last thing I would like to say is that I really appreciate how welcome you all make me feel posting here. I also have many questions, but they are mostly about writing about sex, so I am going to lurk more while I check out some of the other sections of lit. I have been reading stories here for some time as well and lurked for a long time before I posted (I have been online since about 1990 - BixNet! - so none of this is new to me).
