Lance was a senior, it was his time to shine, his last year. but here he was off on a weekend trek of solitude with his family. But he had to admit, he was no major catch, he was not popular, in fact the only thing he had going for him was friendship
He was one of the best friends of the hottest most curvaceous women in school, that senior girl who was probably what 80% of the guys in highschool jacked off to, the other 20% having bizarre fetishes that she didn't fit. Yet there was no way he was ever getting out of the friend zone with her. He had thick glasses, a horrible case of acne and he was a lanky 6'2 bean pole.
He was fit for a bean pole, e loved hiking, and that was what he was doing now. He was up at the lake house with his folks, and he was along one of his favorite paths that lead to a small peak, that gave a wonderful view of the water, adn with the sun well set, would yield a great expanse of the starry sky.
Just as he broke through the clearing a heavy wait slammed him to the ground, adn the last thing he felt was a cold heat against his neck, then darkness.
He woke with the moon halfway across the sky, his head throbbing adn his neck aching, confused about what had happened he looked around, saw nothing, adn headed back to the campsite, exhausted adn chills running through him as he settled into his tent, nobody seeming to have missed him
