Which wouldn't mean that this couldn't be a great scenario for one of my favourite themes: initial reluctance. I can well imagine how a great many - maybe a majority - of inductees need some considerable persuading, only then to find that they love the girl-girl stuff not much later down the line.

Reluctance is very much what I had in mind. Women who have been loyal, loving wives up to this point, now discovering some excitement in life for themselves. Not necessarily at all "housewives" of the Stepford variety!

I want to document one housewife's "induction" into this club. I would appreciate some help on a couple of matters. Firstly, I feel I need to give some explanation, however vague, of how this whole thing got started originally. Secondly, some ideas on the general "running" of it, for example when members need to communicate or pass messages, would be useful. General observations also welcome.

Excellent story idea and adaptable to any number of erotic situations. It could just be a general orgy-type club rather than anything specifically lesbian.

That said, I think probably a pivotal issue is who you're going to choose as this one housewife. Does it necessarily have to be a wife? I'm wondering about an older daughter or visiting relation. It would be good to have a realistic depiction of the woman's background and personality. Possibly the club is looking for "new blood"/"fresh meat" and there's an evening where your MC finds herself being inducted along with several others..?

I like the idea of a "multiple induction" situation but, in a short story, I think this might be too big an ask unless the fact that others are being inducted is simply mentioned in passing... and I wouldn't like to treat things so superficially.

I think you could get away with "multiple induction" even in a short story. I'd go for the story being told from the viewpoint of a wife new to the area who has befriended a similar new arrival - or two. They both/all go to the village hall event, whatever it is, and each sees the others being gradually reeled in.

A kind of peer pressure sets in, if you see what I'm getting at.
