I enter the room, smelling the sweet scent of the Queen and the Captain of the guard. 'Wait a minute, what the hell is going on, I can SMELL THEM? They are clear across a large room. The Queen looking truth be told looking more like Sally the serving maid at the inn back home than her normal regal self.
Garrett was almost blushing as he pulled a chair for me. Ignoring the chair, I continued to stand in the presence of the Queen.
"Daniel, tell me what you know of what happened. Tell us about yourself." Said the Queen.
Daniel started to talk. " Tar Elunei dothunsu car vleis. Toch un sverki almune fasdof kjfeinsjkov kdosle. ferelien sustor entrili sfronta extumin. Scerkrrh tarunlei slek.
Tar frud garund. Etcru saropontia k'laie screanto rupos greas sdjiong roesnae weoiew s sasdfio alrotront screpulae skroceko orlrlaron arelwawe. K'dearnet, al segulaie Weirl skarluna."
Daniel stopped and looked at the Queen and Garrett wondering why they were staring at him.
"He speaks elvish Jesselynn. The language I taught you as a when you would fight me until I gave you sweetmeats to settle you down.
"You come unbidden, even if you are not unwelcome William;" the Queen replied.
"I beg forgiveness, even if my intentions are pure. Daniel, concentrate on your words, and you will not make that mistake again." William said with a chuckle. "Tell them what you were trying to say."
"Well your highness, I really don't know what to say. I am who you see before you, no matter what they may say. I don't know why this is happening to me. I can only remember being with my parents, growing up in the forrests of Aeidor, outside the city. My parents grew older, and before they left the world, my father bid me make for the capitol to see the king in his glory. He insisted on that. What the old man has to say doesn't make sense; but I do know that he has told me things that somehow feel right.
All I wanted your highness, was to play before you and the king. I know that I can play and sing your Highness, and beyond that I don't really know. "
The smell came to Daniel overwhelming his senses, not quite knowing what it was. It was sweet, and yet emenating from the Queen himself. The same scent of the Queen came from Garrett as well, though not as strong. No, some of his scent came from the Queen as his was from her. Daniel didn't know what to make of this, though if he could, he would have blushed.
"Please your highness, I don't know why this happened, just don't send me away. Taking his dagger from beneath his cloak, he laid it on the ground before the queen. Again smelling the Queen's scent mixed with the gallant captain of the Guard.
