Unfortunalty it has only been a speculative fantasy for my bf and I. I have read a few stories on the subject but nothing that I thought was captured the proper tension and aprehension a real couple would feel. I'll admit, the story ends "after the first experience" and/or may "gloss over the aftermath" some. I did this on purpose as I wanted to "leave some details out"... I figured if the first story was popular enough I could develop a series on these characters.

So, in your opinion, what is the essence of a cuckold lifestyle?

I just thought it was an oxymoron, like I said. Call it sheer morbid curiosity. I have a nature that is prone to investigate things, whether I think that I will like them or not. Kind of like people who have read my stories and then sent me angry feedback over it. I don't do THAT anymore. Just wanted to add my two cents, with a degree of mockery. Kind of like when people who wouldn't want to be abducted by aliens are instantly drawn to the silly tabloid headlines about abductions. And, yes, I know it is likely to piss me off. That's why I don't read those stories anymore (at least not on purpose- a story in doubt I might read in the hope that it ISN'T one).

Well, I don't see how a request for "a good cuckold story" is an oxymoron. Again, it's a topic you do not like. That's fine. But there are many others who do like it. And maybe amysecret felt there weren't any/many well written ones in the past... That is why she is looking for a good story. Any and every topic at Lit, sexual fetish, and so on can be written both poorly or quite well.

Fair enough. I mean that it is an oxymoron to ME. You're right that I shouldn't even have read this thread. I went against my better judgement and decided to post a snide comment. It was wrong of me. The title frankly cracked me up, so my wit got the better of my wits. Call it a "knee-jerk" reaction, yielding to the temptation to poke fun at this category. But when I'm wrong, I admit to being wrong. Mockery was not a good enough reason to read and post.

Having acknowledged that it was a mistake to read something that I didn't like (and KNEW that I didn't like), I was prepared to let this subject go and all. However, having read your patronizing, condescending post in my e-mail, I HAD to respond. You should have quit while you were ahead. I was never "vicious" or "mean", just a bit caustic or smart-assed. At the most, it was a contrary opinion uttered with some sense of the absurd and tongue planted in cheek- mockery that was relatively on the gentler side. While a contrary opinion may not be desirable, it is NOT cruel or "discouraging" to readers or writers. If it is, if they can't stand having a contrary opinion, if all they want is to "preach to the converted", as it were, than THEY are the ones with issues (and are ill-equipped for the TRULY vicious comments CERTAIN to appear on their stories). You're not too insecure to handle another viewpoint on the subject, are you, Hallowed Eve?

In the future, "just remember" that apologies need to be accepted at face value, including ones for being needlessly caustic, and that contrary opinions are not the end of the world. My post isn't going to make your precious cuckold stories disappear, nor would I want it to. I am not one to defy the Muse. I am as aware of the purpose of this thread as any of you. I read it and loved it. Was a lot more creative them most cockold stories. there were some plot aspects I didn't care for but because it was so well written i still enjoyed the story immensly.

This is the first time I've ever written a cuckold story. And, as I've stated all over Lit, I've never engaged in such a lifestyle.

Let me know what you didn't like about the story. This is an area I'm looking to write more in, and hopefully grow as an author.
