I really love the haiku form - I have two I’ve specifically written that I tried to keep relatively traditional. At least as traditional as you can in English. They’re a bit older but I hope it’s alright to post them here. The first was in summer during a rare thunderstorm (we don’t usually get them here) and the second was early last year when the cherry blossoms here were blooming.

Blue skies now turned grey
Summer storms darken the land -
Flash! A fleeting light

Fragile pinks and reds
Bloom across pale clouded sky
Winter’s end draws near
