Lance looked up from the scale when he heard more bickering.
He stepped off and looked at himself in the mirror, he was an even 6' with dark black hair, with just a touch of the grey he could expect in his forties. Cool blue eyes gazed back at him, his torso was toned and well muscled from his avid gym time, . The scale showed he had ten pounds he could lose, and he had signed up for a half marathon with a buddy from work.
He had gone on his first jog in nearly a decade last week, and he had to walk after a mile. He was in shape, but h was apparently not in good running shape.
He stepped out if the bathroom, and te bickering grew louder, and pulled on a pair of shorts and a t shirt, then stepped into the hall
"Ladies please? It's Saturday and it's not a big deal, whatever it is" he called down the hall as he approached the sound of the arguing. His wife of 2 years was having another disagreement with her daughter, his stepdaughter, again.
He just shook his head as he headed into the kitchen for a glass of water, and smiled as the bickering came to a close. Well sort of. His wife, Sarah, got the last word
"If I see you wearing clothes like that when you go out, your grounded. I don't care if there won't be boys." She said. Then he heard her head upstairs, probably going to get ready for work, she tended to work weekends.
