"Not yet, he is still highly confused even though we are sharing memories. It is sad that people don't understand just how much space is in the mind. But we will get there. I should pick up a guitar and see if I can actually tap into his potential. He lives for music you know?"
He hugged her close and allowed her to leave his side, "I will get some sleep soon as well, first I want to see what the kid and I can do about playing music and since Luna is returning, we can go easy."
"I will not work too hard, I just want to see if I can produce what he had done so far."
He gave her a kiss on the forehead and let her go. He watched as she walked away and then he closed the door to the room behind him as he left. He found the guitar in the room, he plugged it into the amplifier, setting the sound and slipped the guitar on.
At first his fingers couldn't find the chords, but it took him only a few moments to get it right and he started to play a song.
Sleep overtook her quickly once she retired to her room. A peaceful deep sleep for once in a long long time. Dreams of happiness from long ago filling her mind.
A little boy appearing to be perhaps 10 walked up to listen to him play. Reality was the boy was far older taken in by Eden and the others long ago after be became another victim of the madness and cruelty of is and Omen's brother.
He had always been a little treasure trove of information usually for the old woman but he knew he would have to fill in any blanks that Eden or Omen chose to omit for now.
He finished familiarizing himself with the guitar and the new music and looked up at the boy. He placed the guitar on the stand and stared at the boy, the memory there, but a bit vague in detail since he had to mesh both their existences to play the music.
"You come to tell me something I take it? You have that look in your eyes."
Eden holds alliances with shifters of all kinds all over the world. Few wolves wish to upset the bassist. She is... Strong... One of the few to survive their battle in death with the dark bear.
Your brother... He is still determined since the mortal days when your father ripped what he viewed as worthless Gypsy we know as Eden from you and she did not die in that forgotten tower but was transformed just as you were. He seeks to own our Eden. Or destroy all of us to make her surrender. Unfortunately the grand lords are divided and will not enter this conflict for fear of destroying their alliances.
"And my death did not open their eyes? Must I die once more? Take an innocent soul with me to a grave to open their eyes? For I swear if they do not step up and act like the leaders they should be, my brother and I will come to severe blows."
He paused, then smiled and finally chuckled
"Oh what a fool I am. Here I want to go to war in a mortal body against my brother."
He slapped his thighs and stood up, "I think it is time that I go rest. We will talk more in the near future."
Evening found the news of Alex actually housing Lucien scattered through the "family". Eden sat in the rehearsal hall at the piano warming up as always while Omen fielded questions to keep them away from Eden.
It was a very confused Alex who woke up. First he didn't know where he was, then he wondered why he slept alone and then he remembered. He lay there looking up at the ceiling, he didn't feel like he had the energy nor power to face the day.
He did get up though, after a shower, he slipped into jeans and a faded Death Dancer tshirt. Brushing teeth and combing hair took a few more moments and when he stepped out of the room, he almost tripped over the young boy who sat on the floor in front of his door.
He blinked and looked at the boy, something was quite off about him. He had met a few children in his life, but this one just seemed... adult. He considered the question and nodded,
"Perhaps something to eat will help me get some energy going, I'm feeling a bit drained of energy right now."
The boy nodded and ran to tell them that it was Alex again not Lucien. Eden simply smiled and nodded. Omen shrugged and went about practicing a little bit. The old woman looked to the boy.
He wasn't sure as to how the inner workings of the group worked, but to have oatmeal waiting for him along with honey and butter, he knew that it was a good inner working. He'd been craving oatmeal porridge for some while now.
He sat down and ate the porridge, finding that a few of the family group stood around, looking at him. He had seen a few of them by now, but didn't know any of them, which was weird. He loved meeting new people, but these seemed to melt away when you got near.
He finished his meal and took the plate to the washing up area, a young woman almost appeared out of nowhere and took the plate from him. He stood there dumbfounded as she turned and started to wash the plate. OK that was weird.
He followed the sound of drums and soon emerged where Eden and Omen were busy, "Good...evening, I seem to have overslept a bit."
That's fine tonight is just rehearsal and maybe heading out to one of the local clubs... We haven't been to the Night orchid in a while. However once there the owner might try to bribe us up on stage.
He nodded and sat down, picking up the guitar, "I'll make sure to bring this old girl along, perhaps that will make the bribing a bit more easier to accept."
He gave Omen a grin and looked at Eden, he plugged in the guitar and tested the sound, it was perfect. "So which song first?"
Eden rattled off a song and began playing. Omen just nodded to him and began playing but kept an eye on Eden. Following suit however he fell into the beat of the song.
He joined in with the guitar on queue, it occurred to him that Eden almost tested him as it was one of their least known songs. He shrugged it off and kept on playing, this time holding out for at least two more songs before he had to call a halt as the muscles in his arm and hand started to cramp up again.
Eden nodded at his request for a break and walked around lost in thought. Omen continued to privately practice a little as if working on a song of his own or something far older.
